For some reason I wouldn't be overly enthusiastic about flying in a plane made by a company called Boom.

United plans supersonic passenger flights by 2029

US airline United has announced plans to buy 15 new supersonic airliners and "return supersonic speeds to aviation" in the year 2029.
Supersonic passenger flights ended in 2003 when Air France and British Airways retired Concorde.
The new Overture aircraft will be produced by a Denver-based company called Boom, which has yet to flight-test a supersonic jet.
United's deal is conditional on the new aircraft meeting safety standards.

That reminds me of when i was on holiday in Mexico, we visited Mismaloya, whete they filmed 'night of the iguana' and 'predator', at the top of the hill there is a bar called 'The Predator Bar' which has the shell of a 'huey' outside it, which was left behind after the filming, here is a photo i took of it

Red Arrows made a brief stop at Farnborough yesterday around 10:00.
Saw them take to the skies as I was driving through Aldershot at 12:30.

We've had Chinooks going over this morning, one at a time from different directions. You can feel them before you hear them!

Two more Chinooks just went over, meandering north west.

Only one came up on the Flightradar and it's called KUKRI2. A kukri is a Gurkha fighting knife. KUKRI2 means business!

Ooh! Another RAF Chinook!

This one's SHF564. Dunno what language that particular threatening nickname is in.

Not much going over us at the moment but I expect the police choppers and helicopter gunships will be up after sundown to control the locals

RAF Hawks regularly appear in the vicinity of Prestwick Airport. They tend to go by the names SATAN01, SATAN02 etc.
