Following on from a point I made in a thread about Telekinesis...Is it a known/believed thing that some people can have strange POSITIVE effects on those in their vicinity?
Whether paranormal, superstitious or psychological, the idea that certain people either bring bad luck to the company they're in (a jinx), or cause spontaneous destruction by some unconscious psychic means (poltergeists, street lamp interference...Carrie!). or generally suck the energy out of the room (an "emotional vampire"), is common everywhere and well known as a concept even if you've never personally witnessed it.
Which makes me wonder - does the opposite effect/perception exist? Whether objectively real or not, are there people credited with somehow causing spontaneous positive things to happen when they're around? Are there people whose mere presence causes dying plants to spring into life, broken clocks to start, or who seem to be a constant presence when other people win the lottery or find the love of their life?
Personal experiences or general folklore will both do as an answer if there is one.
