Positive Vibes: Is There Such A Thing As An Anti-Jinx?

Following on from a point I made in a thread about Telekinesis...Is it a known/believed thing that some people can have strange POSITIVE effects on those in their vicinity?

Whether paranormal, superstitious or psychological, the idea that certain people either bring bad luck to the company they're in (a jinx), or cause spontaneous destruction by some unconscious psychic means (poltergeists, street lamp interference...Carrie!). or generally suck the energy out of the room (an "emotional vampire"), is common everywhere and well known as a concept even if you've never personally witnessed it.

Which makes me wonder - does the opposite effect/perception exist? Whether objectively real or not, are there people credited with somehow causing spontaneous positive things to happen when they're around? Are there people whose mere presence causes dying plants to spring into life, broken clocks to start, or who seem to be a constant presence when other people win the lottery or find the love of their life?

Personal experiences or general folklore will both do as an answer if there is one.

Just an opinion based on my own experience, but it seems to me that a person’s frequency at birth can lean to positive or negative.

Positives can, and must, have positive effects to their environment and other people, but beware, this isn’t a permanent thing.

Opposites attract and those that lean to negatives (especially emotional vampires) will be attracted to positives, even marrying them and stringing them along for years. Alas, it seems they are never satisfied and they cannot be changed... they will appear changed while they are fed, but when the feeding source is not there they revert quickly.
Positives are just a shortlived high for them.

I feel lucky to be a positive energy person. I feel we are more consistent and steady.

My thoughts may not always be positive, but I have leaned to the positive spectrum since birth, and my positive energy usually wins.

The world naturally has positives and negatives, and I think nature keeps that balanced fairly well. It is a perfect system...

I think, if things overal lean too far in one direction, a storm will occur with a volatile mixing of plus and minus until an environmental balanced is reached again.

We need that conflict. It is what drives us... without it, our society and our existence would simply stagnate.

I once read that the hippy counter culture started using the word 'vibes' after Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys heard his mum talking about the family dog "picking up good vibrations" so hence the title of the famous Beach Boys song. I hope that's true.

I've belatedly thought of an example of the concept that's out there....in any movie with a casino/roulette scene, its a common cliche for the rich older man to tell the pretty young lady she's bringing him luck by her presence/proximity.

So the idea clearly exists at some level..im just struggling to think of any stronger examples of person A, not necessarily lucky themselves, being the psychic catalyst for positive events experienced by Person B.

Is it linked to someone who is generally happy and positive and friendly raising the spirits of others and making them feel happier and more positive as a result?

Wow, I completely mondegreened the lyrics. I thought they were all "picking up good vibrators", because it was the 70s. *Sings* good Good GOOD good vibrators."

Perhaps, but what I'm grasping for is the idea that such an individual causes (or is imagined to cause) actual physical effects in the material world via some "thing" emanating from them...directly akin/counter to the idea some people cause nearby machinery to break, ships to sink and photo frames to crack.

Oh man, now I’ll never be able to hear that song again without hearing this.

You would think that would be the case, if there is such a thing as Gattino is enquiring about. I have never encountered this but my view is that happy and positive people do have an influence on what happens around them, largely psychological but who knows what the ripple effect leads to.
