Prompting Mr Arafat

Next time you see Mr Arafat addressing a group of people, journalists or whatever, look out for the beefy guys behind him. I've noticed, whether he's speaking in English or Arabic, the guy stood directly behind him always seems to be muttering. Is Mr Arafat so ill these days with his advancing Parkinsons disease that he can't remember his lines, or is this guy just feeding him his lines anyway ?

Arafat has been said to be an autocrat with near-zero negotiating skills. No one is allowed to negotiate except him, so it seems unlikely he would allow himself to be prompted.
I'll keep an eye out next time I see him on TV, which I suspect will be a heck of a lot over the coming weeks!
