Psychic tests

Thought I'd have a go, and now I appear to be atop the sequential card Hall of Fame.

Not bad for someone who's usually rubbish at this stuff.

Yes.

Computers can't generate random numbers. They just 'seem' to.

Here's the one I'm currently using (in 'C'). It produces really good 16bit 'random' numbers.

s32 randseed; // signed 32bit store

int random(void)
{
return (((randseed = randseed * 214013L + 2531011L) >> 16) & 0x7fff);
}

Most random number code just 'bit mashes' numbers, occasionally using user response times to further alter the result.
 
That's also a pretty good bit of code for killing a thread stone dead.

I'll have to use that again.
