Giving a look at the great work of the dr Javier Alvarado, about his book :"History of non-dual meditation methods". It's not a novelty, (in spain appeared in 2014) but still easily available online in pdf. A very intensive documentation work on research of ancient esotericism books. I'm reading the Thot-Hermes Trismegistus parts and is a pleasure in each line and a very interesting source of bibliography both contemporary but ancient too.
To give an idea to a English speaking reader i would compare this book with the Gordon Melton "Encyclopedia of occultism and parapsychology" but more focused in the religious roots and conections of this kind of practices.
