Review Of Saucers Over The Moor

Bob Fischer reviews the 1950s kid's book Saucers over the Moor.

Fascinating! I read only two of the Lone Pine series I think - Seven White Gates and The Gay Dolphin Adventure. Certainly the former was undeniably spooky with the Devil sitting on his throne on the Stipperstones.

I hadn't thought of them as part of a Fortean Education but I would put them there now.

I can't see them publishing a kid's book called The Gay Dolphin Adventure these days!

The phrase "Lone Pine". I'm sure I read some of these, it triggered memories but they are so amorphous I shall have to poke around both cranally and webbily.

EDIT
Wow memory onrush complete. This is the one same cover, everything.
