With regards to A Kid's Guide to Hunting Bigfoot, if I actually had every book described as a "must-have book" I'd be permanently renting a dockside warehouse for them all. Also, YAY, bigfoot is real! Perhaps! To layfolk, though, this genetic stuff all seems very occult. People we're told are experts in the genetics of this or that are always reported as having drawn this or that extraordinary conclusion, and we have neither the knowledge to understand their reasoning nor opportunity to question the media representation of their findings. Ultimately, it always feels unreal to me. At least I can see a big cast of a footprint. Before dismissing it as being too easily faked to have value, obviously.
