Searching FT (Back Issues On CD)

Hi,
I gather that some of the back issues of FT are available on CD, and can be searched...?

If this is the case, could some kind soul look up somethings for me please?

There was a company years ago that produced some issues on CD but apparently the search was crap.

There is a guy on eBay who has produced his own searchable index.

How does that work? You buy the content of the CDs plus a search function?

Nope it’s just an index of all the titles and people in FT and you just search it, presumably a text document or spread sheet.

It’s just the titles of articles on the discs. As I said before there were some supposedly truly terrible pdf versions of early issues available for sale in the mag.
