'Sliding'

Where is there information on the phenomenon known as 'sliding' - the useless superpower of being able to turn streetlights on and off when walking near them - is there a site on this? I've been watching old clips of Father Lionel Fanthorpe's 'Fortean TV' and came across this.

When I was a young tearaway we used to lights out by giving the pole a good kiick using the sole of your boot.
