Naked Woman, 28, Drove Golf Cart Through Scene Of Armed Standoff, Cops Say

A naked woman on a midnight golf cart joyride was arrested early Saturday when she drove through a police perimeter in Florida, cops say.

jessicaesmith21.jpg

While officers were involved in an armed standoff with a teenager, Jessica Smith, 28, drove past several patrol cars while behind the wheel of a golf cart. Smith allegedly ignored a police command to depart the area and continued to approach “the target house of where the armed suspect was on the roof.”

When Smith, police say, refused to exit the golf cart, she “was assisted out and handcuffed” around 12:05 AM. Smith smelled of alcohol and was “completely nude,” according to a criminal complaint charging her with obstruction, a misdemeanor.

Just watching crime watch and apparently they are looking for the criminals who laced packets of sweets with THC!

Some teenagers who ate them had to be hospitalised.

Having overdosed on weed edibles before I can 100% confirm that it is a very unpleasant experience.

Having said that, I'm jealous that they got free edibles!

I'm guessing that the "criminals who laced sweets with THC" are called drug dealers, and the "teenagers who ate them" are called customers.

"...THC and come in a wide variety of forms, but usually it’s something sweet. £10 per 100mg THC is about standard in the UK."

Despite Tom Lehrer's song to the contrary, drug dealers are not renowned philanthropists. I doubt that they are charitably distributing something that costs them about £500K per pound.

They said these teenagers didn't know they were laced with THC.

I make my own anyway and that way I can calculate the perfect dose :D

I caught a bit of that t'other day when they were warning about phone/courier scams.

LSS the criminals talk people into emptying their bank accounts into carrier bags to hand over to waiting accomplices. I can hardly believe people are still falling for that.

Man deliberately reverses truck into house twice

In East Kilbride.
"The truck came into the estate quite fast. It took a turn into the street, and just as I thought he was reversing to turn around, he reversed into the house.

"I thought he may have taken a wrong turn and it was an accident, but he then pulled forward and smashed back into it again."
A man has been arrested.

This Florida (where else? ... ) woman was acting bizarrely and attempted to steal a fire truck. When detained she claimed she was acting under the influence of the fabled alchemical Elixir of Life. An interesting gambit, but unsuccessful for evading arrest ...
Woman Blames Potion For Fire Truck Theft Bid

Erratic Floridian, 39, told cops she had taken the "Elixir of Life"

A Florida Woman who had to be pulled from the cab of a fire engine that she tried to steal denied being under the influence of the usual street potions, but said that she had taken the “Elixir of Life” before trying to boost the emergency vehicle ...

Responding to a call about a woman acting erratically on the beach in St. Augustine Beach, cops and fire rescue workers late last month discovered Kailani Jo Kroll, 39, in distress.

Kroll, who lives two blocks from the beach, said she needed CPR and other treatment. But while being escorted to an ambulance, Kroll began running back and forth.

“Due to no crime being committed at this point ... I had no reason to chase her,” Officer Brandon Hand reported.

But as police and firemen began entering their vehicles to depart the scene, someone yelled, “She’s stealing the truck!” Kroll, investigators allege, had opened the door of an unsecured fire engine and got in the driver’s seat. St. Johns County Fire Rescue personnel responded by pulling her from the cab. ...

After reportedly struggling with cops who tried to handcuff her, Kroll offered an apology, according to a police report detailing the August 20 incident. “I’m sorry for trying to take the truck, I lost my marbles,” she said. When Officer Hand asked if she “was under the influence of anything,” Kroll replied “she was not but had taken the ‘Elixir of Life.’” ...

The potion is not further described in court filings, but the mythical mixture is supposed to grant the drinker immortality. ... It is unclear whether such alchemy was at work in St. Augustine Beach, a city 50 miles south of Jacksonville ...

... Kroll was arrested for grand theft auto, a felony, and resisting law enforcement officers, a misdemeanor.

Thomas Bryon Stemen, 51, from the US, told the victim: “I know, it feels like a bee sting, doesn’t it?” as he plunged the needle into her buttocks, The Sun reports.

He has been jailed for 10 years for his sick crime and charged with assault and reckless endangerment.

Alvarez also claimed that his victims were members of the “Jewish Satanist Party”.

A Texas man was arrested earlier this week for allegedly murdering a woman and shooting her husband because the couple voted for President Joe Biden and mocked ex-President Donald Trump.

Joseph Angel Alvarez
, 38, stands accused of murder and aggravated assault over the fatal attack on the night of Nov. 14, 2020, that left 50-year-old Georgette G. Kaufmann dead and her husband, 47-year-old Daniel L. Kaufmann, wounded after being shot at five times.

According to a complaint obtained by local CBS affiliate KBDC, the couple appears to have been targeted, in part, due to visible support for the 2020 Democratic Party nominee; the Kaufmanns had a pro-Biden “flag and a doll of Trump hanging” in their front yard.

According to the El Paso Police Department, officers responded to a shooting call on the couple’s block when they found the husband “suffering from gunshot wounds at a nearby residence” while a search discovered the wife deceased inside the Kaufmann household. ...

Another email allegedly sent by Alvarez detailed more of the killer’s motivation for the political shooting. That email was sent to the U.S. Army’s 902D Military Intelligence unit and allegedly included photographs of the area immediately surrounding, and including, the Kaufmann residence and LGBTQ flags, according to court documents obtained by the El Paso Times.

In that email, Alvarez allegedly identified Memorial Park, near the home, as a “ritualistic satanic ground to conduct abortions by the manner of magic” and said he was “executing and exterminating the pro-choice Jewish Satan worshippers” by going after the Kaufmanns. ...

Obviously an undercover nazi.

The U.S. Capitol Police arrested a Californian on Monday who had multiple knives in his swastika-painted truck outside the Democratic National Committee headquarters in Washington.

A special operation division officer was patrolling the area near the DNC at about midnight when he noticed a Dodge Dakota pickup with swastikas and other white supremacist symbols painted on it, according to police. The truck had a picture of an American flag in place of a license plate.

When the officer pulled over the truck, police noticed a bayonet and machete inside the vehicle ― weapons that are illegal in Washington. Police arrested the driver, 44-year-old Donald Craighead of Oceanside, California, on suspicion of possession of prohibited weapons.

Police said Craighead told officers he was “on patrol” and began talking about white supremacist ideology and other rhetoric associated with white supremacy. It’s unclear if Craighead belongs to any extremist group, though Capitol Police investigators are continuing to look into the suspect’s actions.

Mortician accused of killing a man and stuffing his body beneath the bed at the funeral home.
Associated Press
June 22, 2005

A trial is under way in Gwinnett County for a mortician accused of killing a man and stuffing his body beneath the bed at the funeral home.

Jordan Lee Warbington III is charged with murder, armed robbery and aggravated assault in the death of 43-year-old Kenneth Cain on May 14th, 2003. The trial began yesterday.

Warbington is the son of a mortuary owner. He lived and worked at the family-owned business where Cain's body was found wrapped in a tarp under a bed.

Authorities say the body was in the early stages of decomposition.

Police believe Cain was struck in the head with a blunt object while sitting on the couch in Warbington's apartment at the mortuary. District Attorney Danny Porter says Warbington owed Cain money for drugs.

Authorities arrested the 37-year-old Warbington while he was on vacation in Florida on May 17th -- the day after Cain's body was found. ...

He escaped but was recaptured.

A Danish man convicted of torturing and murdering a Swedish journaliston on his home-made submarine escaped the suburban Copenhagen jail where he is serving a life sentence but was recaptured nearby on Tuesday.

The Ekstra Bladet tabloid posted a video of Peter Madsen sitting in the grass with his hands behind his back and police at distance. Police confirmed on Twitter that Madsen had been “arrested and removed from the scene” after being surrounded by police officers, with unconfirmed reports he had threatened them with an explosive device.

Madsen reportedly took a hostage and threatened prison staff with a pistol-like object to force his way out of the facility. It quoted witnesses who said he managed to drive away in a white van before police stopped him. ...

https://www.scmp.com/news/world/eur...rine-killer-peter-madsen-escapes-prison-being

He has groupies, quelle surprise.

Denmark's government has introduced a bill that will ban prisoners serving life sentences from entering into new romantic relationships.

Under the new law prisoners will be limited to contacting only those already close to them for the first 10 years of their incarceration.
Ministers hope the ban will counter the rise of 'groupies' of criminals.

The law follows the revelation that a 17-year-old girl had fallen in love with the killer Peter Madsen. Cammilla Kürstein admitted that she fell in love with Mr Madsen after she exchanged letters and talked on the phone with him over the course of two years. She became jealous when he later married Jenny Curpen, a 39-year-old Russian woman, while he was incarcerated in 2020.

Mr Madsen was convicted of the brutal murder of journalist Kim Wall onboard his homemade submarine, UC3 Nautilus, after she boarded it to interview him on 10 August 2017. He later dismembered her body and dumped it at sea. He was handed a lifetime sentence in 2018.

Kentucky man shoots out of hotel window, says he was aiming at aliens

A Kentucky man fired multiple gunshots out of a hotel window, then told cops he was shooting at aliens in the parking lot, authorities said.

kentucky-man.jpg

Samuel Riddell, 55, gave the spaced out explanation to Richmond police after he opened fire at an unnamed hotel on Keeneland Drive, prompting an evacuation on Saturday afternoon.

“Mr. Riddell told police that he observed aliens in the parking lot and was shooting at them,” the [police press] release stated. “Detectives discovered Mr. Riddell was a convicted felon and was in possession of two handguns and a semi-automatic rifle.”

Riddell was slapped with a slew of charges, including four counts of wanton endangerment of a police officer, multiple counts of criminal mischief and possession of a handgun and firearm by a convicted felon, cops said.

At least two people have died after a man reportedly opened fire with a crossbow.

Passers-by were targeted by a man on his balcony in in the town of Almelo, Netherlands. Police confirmed two people had died and a third was injured in the incident on Friday morning. Unconfirmed reports from local media suggest armed police responded to the scene and fired shots at a suspect and that a body was discovered inside the home.

I'm putting this here because of: (a) the bizarre nature of the assassination, real SpyFi stuff; (b) in the hope that the oddity of the incident will be discussed rather than associated politics. There have been several reports of a remote-controlled gun being used in the assassination but this seems to the first mention of AI.

A satellite-controlled machine-gun with "artificial intelligence" was used to kill Iran's top nuclear scientist, a Revolutionary Guards commander says.

Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was shot dead in a convoy outside Tehran on 27 November. On Sunday, Brig-Gen Ali Fadavi told local media the weapon, mounted in a pick-up, had been able to fire several rounds at Fakhrizadeh without hitting his wife beside him.

Iran has blamed Israel and an exiled opposition group for the attack. ...

Gen Fadavi, the deputy commander of the Revolutionary Guards, told a ceremony in Tehran on Sunday that a machine-gun mounted on the Nissan pick-up was "equipped with an intelligent satellite system which zoomed in on martyr Fakhrizadeh" and "was using artificial intelligence". The machine-gun "focused only on martyr Fakhrizadeh's face in a way that his wife, despite being only 25cm (10 inches) away, was not shot", he said. ...

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-55214359

It looks as though this there might be more to this than I thought:

"Iran denies NYT Mossad assassination report

The New York Times published a report detailing the assassination of Iran's leading nuclear scientist by a Mossad-operated AI machine gun.

Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was assassinated in Tehran on November 26. The killing was carried out by the Mossad, The Times reported. According to the report, the gun was a modified Belgian-made FN MAG machine gun attached to a robot and powered by artificial intelligence.

The Times said its information came from interviews with US, Israeli and Iranian officials, “including two intelligence officials familiar with the details of the planning and execution of the operation.” "

- referencing a paywalled NYT article at:

This story illustrates a new sort of crime-related strangeness - stolen items that can actively report their locations and thus be retrieved. It didn't turn out so well for the thief, though. He's facing criminal charges.
IT phoned home: Storytelling box foils kindergarten thief

German police say they have solved a burglary case at a kindergarten after a storytelling gadget the suspect had swiped revealed his location.

Police said Tuesday that the 44-year-old suspect had stolen various items during a break-in at a kindergarten in the western town of Halver in April.

Among them were a laptop, picture books, cups and glasses, some fish sticks, pasta and a smart speaker for playing children’s stories.

When the man tried to download new stories onto the device a month later it sent his home location to the manufacturers, who informed police.

Police said the device has since been returned in working condition to the kindergarten, where it was eagerly received by the children. ...

Now anyone in the US or its territories can just sue these Texan satanists for $10,000. Much less messy.
