A man messed with Shirlene Hernandez, 72, and did not live to tell the tale: the carjacker left her bruised and sore but then crashed her vehicle, dying at the wheel.

"There's a lot of people who would say what goes around comes around, karma. I did not think that; the only thing I got (was) really sad because he had died," Hernandez said. "Now granted, he had hurt me, but the Lord saw fit to take him out of his misery."

Woman murdered during Facebook Live video​

Police in Louisiana were investigating a horrific murder that was streamed live on Facebook.

Baton Rouge Police say that Janice David, 34, was choked, beaten, and stabbed in what police called a "very gruesome, very evil ac t."

It happened just before 10 p.m. on Monday.

East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office Detectives were notified by state police of the Facebook video that captured a man stabbing a woman.

Deputies found the vehicle with David's body inside.

Earl Lee Johnson Jr. allegedly had tied David’s hands to the car steering wheel with jumper cables before stabbing her. Police say that he also tried to set the vehicle on fire after the killing.

Police arrested Johnson Jr., 35, and charged him in connection with the case.

Sgt. L'Jean McNeely of the Baton Rouge Police Department said that Johnson Jr. admitted to the killing.

He told reporters that the pair had apparently been on a three or four days-long "drug binge" before the killing. No motive for the killing was known to the police.

A man allegedly bit and stabbed a police dog in Northern California as officers tried to take him into custody, US authorities have said.

The man appeared to be under the influence of drugs, according to Fairfield police.

Officers were initially called to an elderly victim’s home on Wednesday afternoon following a report of a burglary, the police department said in a Facebook post. The department then received a report from an Amazon employee, who said the man had threatened to kill him and steal his delivery truck. Officers found the man, 44, running around inside the first victim’s home. They tried and failed to get him to come outside.

When police and the K9 dog went inside the house, the dog made “contact” with the man; authorities did not provide further information about what occurred during the contact.

The man then allegedly bit the dog in the face and stabbed the animal on its left side with a knife, police said. The dog, named Cort, was taken to a veterinary hospital for treatment and is now recovering at home with its handler.

A haunted house show, a mysterious apporting gun and a bullet riddled "ghost".

Over the weekend, Keal Latrell Brown, 39, was visiting the Hollywood Wax Museum Haunted House in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina when a performer scared hie group so much that one of them reportedly fell to the floor. At that moment, Brown said he felt a gun slide over to his foot, so he grabbed it and fired two shots at the performer, hitting him once in the shoulder.

Brown told police he thought the gun was a prop and all part of the fun. After firing the weapon, Brown allegedly handed the weapon to his 15-year-old child and split the scene.

At this point, he has been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor in connection to the shooting on Saturday night at the Hollywood Wax Museum Haunted House, but additional charges are likely.

ATLANTA — Another violent weekend in metro Atlanta was capped off Sunday evening with a deadly shooting at a South Fulton park. At the same time as the deadly shooting at Welcome All Park on Sunday, an anti-violence rally was underway in the park.

Community leaders tell Channel 2 investigative reporter Ashli Lincoln that more needs to be done to get a handle on growing crime in the area. “It is tragic, what happened today,” South Fulton Councilwoman Helen Z. Willis said of the shooting at the popular park. “As soon as I got finished speaking, I heard gunfire.” South Fulton police say a man was shot and killed at Welcome All Park after an argument. His identity has not been released.

“I walked over and there was a young man lying on the ground slumped over in a pool of blood,” Willis said. “The violence must stop.” Police say they have a person of interest in custody in this case.

Dave Chappelle Assaulted on Stage During Netflix Comedy Festival​

Comedian Dave Chappelle was assaulted by an audience member on Tuesday night while performing at the Netflix Is a Joke comedy festival at the Hollywood Bowl.


According to attendees at the show, as well as video footage from Chappelle’s stand-up set, a man came on stage and rushed at Chappelle during his performance and tackled him to the floor, before getting apprehended by venue security. The Los Angeles Police Department later told NBC News Los Angeles that the man was armed with a replica gun that featured an ejectable knife blade; it’s not currently clear if an attempt was made to use the weapon while on stage.


Police said neither Chappelle nor any officers were injured during the incident, while the assailant was taken to the hospital with “superficial injuries.”

'Press photographer' (20) gets juvenile detention for arson in Leerdam
A 20-year-old man from Hoogland has been convicted of starting four fires in Leerdam and the surrounding area. Last year, an empty house, car, electric bicycle and hay bale went up in flames. The court considers it proven that the man lit the fires.

As an amateur press photographer, the man earned some extra money with photos of fires and accidents. The police had noticed that he was on the spot very quickly if a fire had broken out somewhere. The court ruled that he started the fires to provide himself with work.

Because of his developmental delay and intellectual disability, he was sentenced to juvenile detention: 155 days, of which 30 days conditional, with a probationary period of two years. The 20-year-old man has been in the youth prison for four months and does not have to return now.

He comes under supervision with an ankle bracelet and has to be treated in a clinic. He is also no longer allowed to travel as a press photographer for the next two years to prevent him from being tempted, reports RTV Utrecht.

Georgia homeowner shoots, kills naked man who tackled 67-year-old wife off of riding lawnmower​

LIZELLA, Ga. — A Georgia homeowner shot a naked man to death after he tackled his 67-year-old wife off of a riding lawn mower, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded responding to reports of an assault in Lizella found a 25-year-old man dead from a gunshot wound in the front yard of a home. The man had been shot in the chest.

The homeowner told deputies that the suspect, who was naked, tackled his wife off of the lawnmower she was riding on. The homeowner said he tried to pull the man off of his wife but the suspect attacked him. The suspect then started attacking his wife again. That’s when the husband said he went and got his gun and shot the suspect.

The wife was taken to the hospital, where she is being treated for her injuries. She is currently stable. The victim’s husband had minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

The 25-year-old suspect has not been identified pending notification of next of kin.

He egged on a man as he sexually abused a puppy and arranged to meet a paedophile who was offering up a toddler to be raped.

[A lawyer] told the court a number of digital devices were seized and some examined at the scene. "He was in possession of indecent images and there was evidence of him distributing images. Extreme pornography was discovered, involving torture and sexual abuse of children and animals. The defendant had been in contact with others via social media and had been organising the commission of sexual offences against children, dogs and dead bodies."

Robinson-Wright [was sentenced] to 17 years custody with an eight year extended licence period.

An intruder who pretended to be a priest and spent a night in an Army barracks near Windsor Castle will face no further action.

A police spokesperson said said no further action was taken against the man and that he was not detained under the Mental Health Act.

An unidentified man in his underwear attempted to push his way into a home Sunday night. When the resident(s) successfully repulsed his attempted entry, police were called in. The suspect was seen entering a horse trailer parked nearby. He refused to come out of the horse trailer, which caught fire and burned. The suspect was found dead inside the burned-out trailer.

A deputy then spotted the man breaking into a horse trailer in University Place. As they were waiting for backup to arrive, smoke was seen coming from inside the trailer.

Landon Earl Rankin, 54, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of two counts of burglary in relations to thefts at two Phoenix-area weddings last month.

He is also facing several drug charges after police found amphetamine and fentanyl in his possession ...

Rankin would allegedly pose as a guest at weddings and steal boxes of wedding cards. The boxes at the Phoenix-area weddings both contained between $3,000 and $6,000.

During the investigation, police uncovered at least 11 recent incidents of similar wedding thefts in the East Valley region of Arizona that Rankin could be responsible for. ...

Police were able to see what Barrow did inside the store when they reviewed surveillance videos.

She was charged with two counts of simple battery, public indecency and disorderly conduct.

The rape allegedly happened in November 2020, two months after their relationship was over. The East Netherlands police have been conducting an internal investigation for months. Both officers have been at home ever since.

This could go in WTF but it's a strange crime, and a disturbing one, in the 21st century (though as a species we seem to be returning to medieval times) – a Norwegian man has been apprehended after killing 'several' people with a bow and arrow. The word several fills me with woe.

A man charged with killing five people and wounding four others in southern Norway when he attacked strangers with a bow and arrows and knives has pleaded guilty to murder and attempted murder.

Espen Andersen Brathen, 38, was reported by Norwegian news agency NTB to have said at the start of his trial at Buskerud District Court: “I admit criminal guilt for the entire charges.”

The five victims were fatally stabbed on October 13 2021. Brathen also faces 11 counts of attempted murder for allegedly shooting at people with a bow and arrows in Kongsberg, a former mining town with 26,000 residents. He is further accused of causing bodily harm, threatening behaviour, refusing to obey police orders and tossing knives at officers.

The attacks started inside a grocery shop, with Brathen arrested more than half-an-hour after he allegedly started firing arrows inside the premises and attacking people inside their homes.
