For some reason that I can't explain, I feel it was a Kraft synthetic 'rubber' cheese slice. I know that's what I'd use given the choice. Also what cheese was it?

That sounds entirely credible. He died melting cheese on his penis. So he was heating his penis [with a blow torch?] sufficiently to cause cheese to melt on it? That wouldn't be good for you. What killed him I wonder - probably the bag over the head. That'd do it.
Anyone able to corroborate the Strange Deaths clipping in FT 370 about the German man who died melting cheese on his penis while dressed in a diving suit, women's tights and a raincoat, with a plastic bag over his head?
That was you? Didn't recognise you, my apologies. There but for the grace of God...
Dick cheese, of course! Also what cheese was it?
Pecorino surely?Dick cheese, of course!

Scot Free [sic], an actor who lives across the street from Egg in San Francisco’s busy South of Market neighborhood, had been convinced that something horrible had happened to Egg ever since he had noticed a stream of sudsy water gushing from under his missing neighbor’s front door weeks earlier.
concern only increased on 14 August, when a white van pulled up, marked as a biohazard crime scene cleanup vehicle from a company called Aftermath Services. A strange man stood outside the home to meet it. Free and his neighbors dialed 911 to get the police. Within minutes, the slightly dilapidated, clapboard house on Clara Street was cordoned off into the grisly crime scene of one of San Francisco’s most perplexing mysteries.
Neighbors said that they hadn’t seen Egg since at least June and noticed all summer that other people seemed to be living in the house.
Decades ago, Egg was a bartender at the Stud, a celebrated San Francisco gay bar known for its leather parties and drag queen shows. Free, who does a comic standup routine as a drag queen named Pippi Lovestocking, also worked at the Stud, performing in a weekly show that began in 1996.
Free, who lived across the street for 30 years and once briefly rented a room from Egg, said Egg hadn’t worked in decades and lived an extremely frugal life. He said Egg ate almost every day at the free lunch program at San Anthony’s Foundation, which serves homeless people a mile away in the Tenderloin neighborhood.
Free and Lyuber said Egg often offered men he met there a place to stay. Some of them came carrying their belongings in backpacks and plastic bags, said Lyuber.
“He opened his door for people and they took advantage of him,” said Lyuber. “It makes me sad and angry.”
Police announced they had arrested two men, who neighbors said had been seen at the home. One of them, Lance Silva, 39, was charged in court documents with using Egg’s credit card to order the crime scene cleanup van and to buy a used BMW for $5,000 back in June.

It's reasonably well documented that front page publicising of e.g. suicides does lead to a subsequent spike in suicides. (Cialdini again). Ethically, making them big news is at best irresponsible.I always thought something like incitement to suicide was a factor in the Bridgend suicides.

The owner of a southern Colorado bowling alley has died after getting stuck in a pin setting machine.

Emergency responders determined he had died.
Florence Police Chief Michael De Laurentis says no foul play is suspected and the death is believed to be an accident.
A pedestrian has died after being hit by a window pane which fell 250 feet from a luxury apartment overlooking the Thames.
Police said the gunman might have mistaken Sutton for a deer or a boar.
Yeah, a deer or bear in hi-viz.
You just mentioned an UL about a Russian bear on a bike a few days ago.
Well, if you go down to the woods today, you'll be sure of a big surprise. There's no mention of the bear being in hi-viz. You never know though.
