This sub-forum is intended to contain news and topics relating to the strangeness encountered on or within terrestrial waters - oceans, streams, etc.
The intended focus is on subjects pertaining to the waters themselves.
Topics relating to plants or animals found within or upon the waters would be more appropriately posted in (e.g.) FORTEAN FLORA, FORTEAN FAUNA, or in certain instances the CRYPTOZOOLOGY section.
Topics relating to mysteries involving human activities in or on the waters (e.g., shipwrecks or maritime disappearances) would be more appropriately posted elsewhere (e.g., GENERAL FORTEANA).
Topics relating to unidentified seaborne rather than airborne objects (USO's) should be posted in the UFOLOGY section.
Topics relating to the waters' involvement in, or influence upon, earth's weather and climate would be more appropriately posted in the EARTH MYSTERIES: THE SKIES / ATMOSPHERE section.
Topics relating to the earth as a whole (e.g., as a planet) may be more appropriately suited for (e.g.) the NEW SCIENCE section.
