The Columbia River UFO Incident (1981)

Listening to a radio show this evening I head about an incident where police in the US state of Washington witnessed a UFO. The event made the local newspapers.

What is unusual about this sighting it the police, not having a camera or video recorder with them, recorded it on audio tape, so there is an audio record of the encounter, including the sounds the UFO was allegedly making.

That sounds like a VTOL plane.
