A Mediterranean “cat-fox” with large “dog like” teeth and a bushy tail has finally been discovered after being dismissed as a myth for years.
For years the mysterious creature has been rumoured to be roaming the Asco Forest in Corsica, a luxurious island off the coast of Italy.
But its discovery could be a new species, currently unknown to scientists.
The large cat has a bushy, ringed tail, a russet coloured belly and short whiskers, referred to in generations of Corsican shepherd mythology.
