Rather worrying.

An Indian doctor who was suspended after raising concerns about a shortage of masks is again in the spotlight after officials committed him to a mental hospital. BBC Telugu's V Shankar reports.

Dr Sudhakar Rao, an anaesthetist with 20 years of experience, made national headlines over the weekend for the second time in two months.

A series of videos that went viral show him and police facing off on a highway in the southern city of Visakhapatnam, where Dr Rao lives and works. Authorities say he was sent to a mental hospital after.

The news follows reports of Indian doctors facing a backlash after speaking out about shortages of protective gear or lack of preparation in hospitals.

Trump's not the only one claiming to be taking hydroxy. Seems it's the new Miracle Cure for the faithful that makes you look younger, gives you more energy, increases mental abilities and only occasional death. Can't buy it? Make your own! Want to own the libs? Claim you're taking it!

Be interesting to see how many fatalities arise from this.

All this is known and has been going on for hundreds if not thousands of years. There is a small elite that controls everyone else. Hapsburgs, Mervovigians, Hanoverians, Stuarts, Windsors, etc, etc in Europe.

In America a bunch of freemasons and landowners started the whole process over there then we got Ford, Rockerfeller, etc.

You seem to think you are blowing our minds but it's just tiresome. We know there has been a global elite - you're not telling any of us anything we don't know.

Perhaps post on facebook or something where people don't know and spread your amazingly erudite opinions there? This is the Fortean Forums a lot of the posters have forgotten more stuff than the average person will ever know when it comes to conspiracy.

Many of us older conspiracy nuts understand that you can get sucked into the conspiracy void, Chapel Perilous, the Iron Prison, whatever you want to call it which you have.

You are living an existence that is sadly not an existence because you are like a TV set that can never be turned off.

Days of your life are passing with this obsession over things that you have no power over. Perhaps have a rethink like many of us have done before and just step outside and enjoy our beautiful world?
i would let that go as a deep seated need to be obnoxious
- but I looked again.

You know how to read don't you ?

What is the name of this thread? - A thread not started by me.

Here is the name:

The COVID-19 (Wuhan Coronavirus) Outbreak: Conspiracy Theories & Claims

So if you are so upset about conspiracy theories why are you responding to it?

So you can prove all conspiracy is a paranoid delusion?

I used to find that there was, probably still is, a group of people that hunt
UFO, occult and other mysterious subject posts, just to disprove them.

- Easy to do since "Conspiracy Theories and Claims" are just that
- Theories and Claims - NOT evidence to be used in a court of law.

But you already know that don't you?

So we see another conspiracy of sorts.

What is the motivation to disprove, dismiss, and in whatever means possible
insult the integrity and intelligence of people who post conspiracy theories.???

Are the debunkers really afraid of a hidden truth ????
Are the debunkers themselves trying to hide the truth for motivations
that only a conspiracy theorist can imagine???

You see conspiracy theorists want the truth {usually}
- And are not afraid of those who are trying to hide it !

“Collective hallucination is another of the dismissal-labels by which conventionalists shirk thinking. Here is another illustration of the lack of standards, in phenomenal existence, by which to judge anything. One man's story, if not to the liking of conventionalists, is not accepted, because it is not supported; and then testimony by more than one is not accepted, if undesirable, because that is collective hallucination. In this kind of jurisprudence, there is no hope for any kind of testimony against the beliefs in which conventional scientists agree. Among their amusing disregards is that of overlooking that, quite as truly may their own agreements be collective delusions.”
― Charles Fort, The Fortean Collection: The Book of The Damned, New Lands, LO!, Wild Talents, The Outcast Manufacturers

also be comfortable
One can't learn much and
let anybody else be comfortable”

I do wonder how many people have thought this through.

Collapse of the economy = no NHS.

First - your posted video shows as "Video not available" in the US.

Second - "Collapse of the economy = no NHS."

Did 'they' consider this? - Everywhere in the World I'm sure they did
- That appears to be the philosophy of that Brazil leader who refuses to lock-down
his country. UK went that way at first and then changed their mind. And when
Trump said he didn't want the cure to be worse than the disease, he did have
a valid point.

I'll spout conspiracies day and night 'cause their interesting
- But as was already said about Human stupidity, what should be added is
mis-calculation and bad luck.

And even if there were conspirators involved in the course and way the pandemic
was handled - They may have totally miscalculated the plague as it actually
played out.

Only a genuine dyed in the wool conspiracy nut would actually believe that
there are 'players' on the World stage that actually want to bring about
the collapse of civilization!

But, is it possible ???

And To answer my own question..........

Sure there are - We all know certain fanatical terrorists in the Middle East
want to do just that - Bring about the end of the World as we know it
- research shows, and others have pointed out - this Covid 19 virus is doing a
good job of doing just that - ending civilization!

The conspiracy theory says it was designed that way
- and there is nothing natural about this pandemic
- its man made and only made to appear natural?!?!

A friend from the mainland who lives in Hong Kong maintains that Xi Jinping's hospital visit in Wuhan earlier this month was staged. They decorated an empty building with hospital banners to film the news (see image below). In this version of events, he was unwilling to take the risk of infection, even though the virus has supposedly been eliminated in China. She reckons others know this and compare this cowardice critically with Hu Jintao's compassionate visits to Sichuan after the earthquake in 2008.

She also says that Xi won't let anyone temperature-check him with a laser thermometer on the forehead, as is usual, in case there's a concealed gun in the thermometer. He instead proffers his wrist.

That is weird, the video looks like it will play. It even shows the background of the film about to start and the play button. But when you click on it it says not available in your country. I live in Canada. :dunno:

YouTube is pretty strict on Copyright agreements - If someone claims copyright
violation for any particular country YouTube won't let it play there
- You see that a lot with certain songs by certain singers from other countries.

Nearly half of Twitter accounts discussing coronavirus are likely bots, researchers say

Nearly half of the Twitter accounts sharing information about the novel coronavirus are likely bots, according to researchers at Carnegie Mellon University.

Researchers analyzed more than 200 million tweets discussing coronavirus or COVID-19 since January. They found that nearly half were sent by accounts that behave more like a convincing bot than an actual human.

Of the top 50 influential retweeters, 82% were likely bots, the research showed. Out of the top 1,000 retweeters, 62% were likely bots.

More than 100 types of inaccurate COVID-19 stories were identified by researchers, including misinformation about potential cures and conspiracy theories — such as hospitals being filled with mannequins or the coronavirus being linked to 5G towers.

The team said it was too early to point to specific entities that may be behind the bots “attempting to influence online conversation.”

"We do know that it looks like it's a propaganda machine, and it definitely matches the Russian and Chinese playbooks, but it would take a tremendous amount of resources to substantiate that," Kathleen Carley, a professor in the School for Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon, said in a statement.

If an assassin is close enough to do a wrist test they're close enough to use a variety of methods.

Very interesting - But why?

You can then see one reason why conspiracy theories of all types
on Covid 19 are considered.

What persons or groups are trying to add confusion? - and why?

On a subject this serious it is not just trolls having fun
- This attempt to distort and/or confuse

must be backed by some sort of.......
'Conspiracy' !

Aren't most disinformation campaigns backed by conspiracy?

Back to my first question - Why?

Why and for what reason are the conspirators attempting to obscure the truth?

Is it just to make a bad situation worse?

And/or is it to hide the 'real truth' as to cause
- Again the conspiracy theory says it is not a 'natural' pandemic ?!?!

And apparently disinformation goes way back to the still most famous
Spanish Flu of 1917-18

False claim: the 1918 influenza pandemic was caused by vaccines

"Finally, the claim that “more of our men were being killed by medical shots than by enemy shots from guns” is unsubstantiated. There is no evidence to show any vaccine killed more men than “enemy shots from guns”. According to a paper called “The U.S. Military and the Influenza Pandemic of 1918–1919,” by the NCBI in 2010, it was “influenza and pneumonia [that] killed more American soldiers and sailors during the war than did enemy weapons.” ( here ) The U.S. did not develop the first influenza vaccine until the 1940s ( here ) and the first pneumonia vaccine until 1977 ( here ). "

Twitfacebots have a variety of functions. They :
spread political propaganda and ideologies (like conspiracy theories from people who really want the sheeple to WAKE UP),
bolster the egos of celebs/politicians ("I have a million followers! I am loved!"),
promote phishing (there's a lot of them pushing the "Elon Musk is giving away Bitcoin" scam),
drive business to otherwise obscure websites/Youtube channels/porn stuff for advertising revenue,
and tricksters who think it's hilarious.

Botnets are cheap and easy to set up so if you have just a bit of technical know-how, a few dollars and a desire to let the world know how Big Pharma is trying to implant everyone with mercury-based nanobots that look like Bill Gates, you can do it.

au contraire - Isn't it you who seems to be using a debunker type mentatlity against
my posts because, and for whatever reason, don't like my interpretaion of
conspiracy theories as they relate to Covid 19 ???

As previously stated this thread is supposed to be about

The COVID-19 (Wuhan Coronavirus) Outbreak: Conspiracy Theories & Claims

I don't post on, read, or use social media such as twitter
- So my information is coming from sites usually considered reputable
and I link to the sites and/or authors.

I have no full comprehension on why you would state that as someone
who knows about classic conspiracy theories...........

I've been studying conspiracy theories for maybe 30-40 years and don't necessarily
believe any of them are true - They are just interesting.

And one thing that makes them interesting, at least the ones that are interesting,
is that there is almost 'some' truth in them.

In dealing wtth the current pandemic, I don't know if it is going to make any
difference in end results whether the whole occurence is just a bad fluke of
nature or say a terrorist act so designed - But for me and others, it is interesting
to know.

And i'll bet you dollars to doughnuts that the think tanks of the major
intelligence agencies of the World are looking at it too
- And no, they will not tell this to the public.

- BOT NOT {version 2.3}

You’d think Russia could have been more subtle with the doctors out of the window thing.

To lose one doctor, may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose two looks like carelessness. To lose three looks bloody suspicious.

I think they need creativity lessons from Villanelle.

Not a conspiracy theory - Unless you see this as a desired consequence:

What Coronavirus Isolation Could Do to Your Mind (and Body)
Social distancing can lead to adverse psychological and physiological effects. But there are things you can do to maintain your overall health.

https://www.wired.com/story/coronavirus-covid-19-isolation-psychology/

Of course you can always stay here and debate conspiracies about conspiracy !

- And at any rate "Don't Worry, Be Happy" {They told me to say that!}

Their assassins aren't up to the same skill levels as they once were.
Back in the cold war era, they definitely got good at making it look like an accident.
