It's a figurative re-interpretation of this whatever-it-is vegetation or ornamental plant.

I'm not sure I really understood what was going on there. Crowds of well behaved people suddenly being released to rush towards I-dont-know-what like the boxing day sales. Some odd shaped buildings.....a monorail.....cable cars.....empty spaces that looked like they were building sites just weeks ago....lift music....big screens with pictures of surfing.....somnolescent Japanese people moving slowly through unexplainable exhibitions.....a DIDGERIDOO! .....more rousing music and odd buildings....fountains......choreography.....? ? ? ? ?
Have you got space in your chrono-vehicle for me????

Adam Savage builds a Zorg gun (from The Fifth Element) - and it works (kinda)!

I am pleased to find any opera DVD in the charity shops; as a niche-product, they can still retail at around £20 each!

Much as I love physical copies, the stuffness of stuff gets to be a chore to curate organize and dust.

Streaming has become more feasible in recent years but I associate the habit with fancy subscription-rates.

Which may be why it took me so long to find this!

Researching an obscure operetta, I hit on a complete German television version from the 1970s, with decent sound and vision. So what else was on the site?

Just about everything! To take a familiar name, the link reveals 1,873 videos of Verdi operas, documentaries etc.

Opera may not be to everyone's taste but you don't need deep pockets to enjoy it. Just one good connection and all the time in the world . . .

You know what I don’t like about opera?
They’ve always got that open arms gesture. Like they’re begging for money or something and they’re getting paid shitloads. Even the GoCompare guy’s been working through the pandemic. Mind you. I do like him.

You'd be tired if you couldn't shut your eyes too.

I came across this video. Possibly the most relaxing survivalist video ever made. I kept asking myself ‘what is she up to now?’
Survivalist ASMR…. That’s what she’s up to. Works for me.

All the repeated repositioning of the camera must wear her out.
