Couldn't see an unsolved murders thread, so any thoughts on the Keddie Murders of 1981?

Every so often new evidence arises, but it goes nowhere. Most of the suspects are dead now anyway. The witness saying he saw the killings in a dream is a weird part of it. Sometimes the horror film The Strangers is claimed to be based on the deaths, but the director denies this. I will warn you, it's a truly horrific case, and the thought the criminal(s) got away with it is of zero comfort.

Top class investigation: major clues were not even considered evidence until decades after the case.

I hope we don't get one as I wouldn't want this place to have a murder-porn element.

Ancient unsolved murders I get but cases where people who might be still alive is a different matter unless it has an obvious Fortean element.

I know what you mean (I've never spotted much Fortean about the McCanns thread), but the dream witness element was what I thought was Fortean.

No because that would mean an unrecovered stolen car would be Fortean, which it isn't. But a crime involving some weird element, like the dream witness in this case, would count, I think.
