BLADE RUNNER...

I have the Love Theme To Blade Runner on CD and I think it has to be one of my fave pieces from any film...ever...

Second would be "Kissing You" by Desree from Romeo + Juliette...
but that isn't a very fortean film...

So, whats your fave film music?

[Emp edit: Changing title so it is more obvious]

There are quite a few film soundtracks with certain tracks or sequences. However, for 'overall', and off the top of my head (and not necessarily in order of preference):

Conan The Barbarian (Basil Pouldouris)
Braveheart (James Horner)
Bram Stoker's Dracula
Gladiator
Amadeus
Titanic
Witness

Dancing around the wha!?

No it isn't...it wierd and it gives the dance instructions in the song...which is quite a good idea though...

Its just a jump to the left
And a step the right,
Put ya' hands on ya' hips
And pull your knees in tight,
Its the pelvic thrust
That makes you go insane...

I'd have to go with 'Strange Days' and 'Oh Brother Where Art Thou'.

Oh, and 'The Big Lebowski'

Lets do the Time Warp again...

I also leke PREDATOR's theme...it's so sinister. On the other hand I like the music from The Fifth Element, getting the soundtrack for Christmas hopefully...

So much to pick from.... *_*

I'm a big anime fan, so a few of my fave sountracks are from anime like Mononoke Hime, Ghost in the Shell...

Matrix had some good stuff (Clubbed to Death...ooh yeah)
Diva dance from 5th element was great

John Williams has brought out great stuff for the Star Wars series (while the film wasn't as good, I love some of the phantom menace soundtrack)

Oh, and the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon soundtrack was class-E

lots more, but too much to list..

Run Lola Run.

It's kool when the actors get involved in the soundtrack.

Also, Fight Club. I'm not especially fond of the music, per se, but it fits so perfectly with the film.

Danny Elfman! Edward Scissorhands and Batman particularly. Prince's stuff on Batman works well, too.

Plus he was, of course, responsible for the simpsons' theme

The soundtrack to High Fidelity is quite good, as was Trainspotting and Pulp Fiction. Oh, and Almost Famous was brilliant, especially "Fever Dog." Concerning SciFi and the like, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Superman the Movie were both well done.

i loved the creepy classical intro to Aliens. When the camera zooms into the Nostromo (or is it the shuttle? can't remember). Very chilling

It's the escape pod thingy. And i know exactly what you mean. I really must get a copy of the Aliens sound track for when I'm running horror RPGs.

Just watched Hannibal on video at the weekend - the music was wonderful!

And the music from 'Death in Venice' although too much Mahler can be a bit depressing (come to think of it, the whole film is pretty depressing . . .)
