Nice reply, matey.
My own tiny culture for one tells me that there is no ultimate answer. Only choices. So it's a matter of deciding .. to be or not to be. Every other culture has a different answer to such questions. Music is the only real constant transcendent in my life. Always has been, insofar as I understand almost all of it intuitively. Even the dross. Jimmy Page is one of many articulators of The Muse. There's been a lot of rot about musicians doing deals with entities. I think it's horseshit. All of it. I reckon Jimmy's found the same questions as unfathomable as the rest of us. He just does what comes with his inborn instinct and peppers everything else with incongruity, because you can't tell a journalist anything, really, that they do not already know.

Or anybody else, for that matter.

It's a cracker joke, a cheap surprise
Painting in the corner, repeat flagrant lies
A shortage of ice, big increase of less
Standing far apart, world dying at your feet
They play it all for you
They explain it all to you
Telling you to be like them
Be like them
Demanding that you too be like them
Be like them
Be like them
Be like them

Of course you can all go on about things and present jinglye janglye songs but frankly, nothing bests this. And I regularly place this as a benchmark by whyche alle moderne musik shall be ye judged. And, in it, found wanting.

It's close to 33 years since I've seen these guys.

Just how good is this? How tight are they?

For various reasons have had limited loud music capability. Problem now overcome. Many watts available to scare any neighbours still alive and knock pigeons out of the air. First few up:

Copperhead Road - Steve Earle
Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald - Gordon Lightfoot
Assault and Battery - Hawkwind
Anthem - SAHB
The Musical Box - Genesis (the REAL Genesis with Pete Gabriel)
Fallen Angel - King Crimson (and many more from that album before the night is out)
Fred Bear (who I actually met) - Ted Nugent
Yours is no disgrace - Yes
Mandolin Wind - Rod Stewart - followed up with That's all you need - Faces.

Bet you are glad you're not my neighbours.

skinny - some barsteward stole my cutoff with all my history on it - patches, badges etc - that is not a forgivable offence.

I dunno - I'm still pretty trim. But I never could do it up - it had thongs across the front - it had a history before it 'became' mine. It had all my bike enamel badges, patches from bands I'd seen, badges from marches I'd been on (Rock against Racism, Anti Nazi League), plus certain biker specific regalia from past history - no need to go into the last category.

No probs :)

It's all 40 odd years ago. Things are very different now. But I was very angered by losing the jacket, something that occurred more recently at a party among alleged friends. I had parked it, life moving on, but they wanted a 70's party so I turned out in my 70's gear. thinking all that was history i left my leather and cutoff on the back of a chair when I crashed.

It was disrespectful to sneak it away. If you want my effing jacket, take it off me like a man.

I think I know who had it as well, but since he has been overtaken by serious debilitating illness I'll leave it to another authority to sort it out.

Analogue Boy's link to a Batman Theme reminded me of this gem:

Which brings me also to this:

I work with a bloke from the Dominican Republic, he also teaches dance. My wife commented that not every Latin American has snake hips. Itold her I know that, but he does.

Sadly, few people will look at this.

Kept from attacking a band who probably weren’t even there and putting them behind bars.

Opens with a theme that even Only Fools and Horses would have turned down.
