A farmer has been forced to cut down Britain's only herd of Nazi-engineered cows because they were too aggressive and tried to kill his staff.
Derek Gow imported more than a dozen Heck super cows to his west Devon farm in 2009.
It was the first time the creatures had set foot on British soil since the Bronze Age.
But the farmer has now been forced to destroy seven of the cows due to their ferocious nature. The meat was turned into sausages which Mr Gow said were "very tasty" and a bit like venison.

He said: "We have had to cut our herd down to six because some of them were incredibly aggressive and we just couldn't handle them.
"The ones we had to get rid of would just attack you any chance they could. They would try to kill anyone. Dealing with that was not a lot of fun at all.
...
German zoologists Heinz and Lutz Heck were commissioned by members of the Nazi party to produce a breed of cattle based on aurochs, a species of ancient wild bull.
The pair traced the species' descendants to domestic breeds and managed to "pull the wild genes out", creating the cattle in the '20s and '30s.
The Hecks' programme at zoos in Berlin and Munich was so successful that the new aurochs flourished and were used in propaganda material during World War II.
The cattle were largely destroyed following the defeat of Nazism in 1945.
However, some survived in nature conservation parks in mainland Europe, and 13 Heck bulls and cows were imported from Belgium to Mr Gow’s farm in 2009.

If you think this sounds like a load of old aurochs, you're probably right!

A real Aurochs would be a LOT bigger.

Yeah, but they've already weeded out the aggressive ones, kinda defeats the object. Hermann Goering and his pals were looking forward to taking on immense, aggressive Aurochs, with spears, and even they didn't want to be hunting passive, boring, just larger-then-normal cows. The danger was the attraction. (They were planning to have huge de-populated game reserves in which to have their hunts. Like, Poland, for example)

Ooh, can you imagine Fatty Goering, in lavender lederhosen, trying to spear an enraged super-bull?

Those are the Hell Cows, these are the lesser cousins the Heck Cows ;)

That's a shame. High ranking Nazis gored to death by neo-aurochs would have been great.

I thought this might be a sequel to Ilsa, She-Wolf of the SS.

I've been away for a few days, have you folks found a new kind of mind-altering substance?
