I have searched for any clues to that brilliant photo!
Nothing so far... looks like your typical, 'east end' London pub, with pictures of boxers on the wall?
Here are the particulars on the photo:

Title: New Year's Eve At Sammy's On The Bowery
Location: New York
Photographer: Weegee (Arthur Fellig)

You just beat me to that by a couple of minutes!

Well... kinda...

I didn't know those details, however, I had identified the location. :)

(my only clue was the sign above our barman, which enlarged, seemed to read, 'SAMMYS')

Incidentally... and on the understanding that what's posted in the Troll's Head, stays in the Troll's Head

... started the endeavour by searching for images of, 'midget in nappy', 'dwarf wearing diaper' and suchlike.

Oh boy, did that bring forth some, 'extremely disturbing' material...

To the extent this was 'mild' by comparison...

*Goes behind the bar & mixes into a bucket, a load of different coloured drinks from strangley shaped bottles, from the shelves, and retires to a seat by the fire. Drinks a full "rose bowl" & light up a fag*.

Hopefully I'll be able to drink myself into a state of SHC.

Cool... let us know how you get on there...

SHC- the term used for the short form of "Shadow Hunters Clan"
-A clan of bounty hunters that started off on a guild on Neopets. Bounties placed shall be taken care of by Head Hunters or other Shadow Hunters.

You both know what I mean. It's just the frustration I can't do anything about what's currently happening.

Just remember ... If you're truly impotent to stop what's happening you'll be just as impotent to stop it come morning - above and beyond which you'll be suffering one hell of a hangover.

Hogmanay trvia...

What is this song:

- It was written by someone who had a massive hit with his own band

- It was written for Elvis Presley, however, Elvis never sang this song

- It became a smash disco hit for a Scottish performer.
This....

Written by Ray Dorset, ot Mungo Jerry fame.

Think of Elvis in the Las Vegas era and minus the disco effects. I've see Ray play this as originally intended and it works!

Was such a lovely night, mild with clear sky and almost a full moon.

Decided would be ideal to try some more photography with new camera phone (13 megapixel), so off to Melrose for the evening.

These were the favourites.

Tree and moon!

That looks like some crown weed there, bud. How high is the moon? Our moon is ochre red due to firesmoke blanketing this entire corner of the planet. It's blackened. Seriously charred country. The moon rose into the upper atmossphere smoke and there was something very occultish about the moon up there today.

Oh yes, Lloyd. hummmm ... Bombay Sapphire Gnt pls.
