They* Walk Among Us (*Aliens)

Maybe they were a blind couple who'd forgotten to put in their glass eyes?

I don't know what their purpose was for coming there or if it was just a stopping off place on the way to their final destination,

Maybe they were actors wearing alien contact lenses for filming or something and they wore them to the cafe for a laugh, see if anybody would notice.

;)

I agree with Coldelephant on this one. If these "sightings" are taking place in California where the movie industry is then it could be actors on a lunch break. A lot of them have to spend hours getting the make up fitted and dont want to take it off because of time constraints.
If these sightings are taking place in the middle of nowhere then i am more hopeful but in a city or area where there are lots of TV shows and films getting made then that can explain away about a good 80% of them

I wish I got to invited to these kinds of parties:
99.
Location. Portland Oregon
Date: June 1995
Time: night

The two main witnesses had attended a friend's birthday party. The moment they arrived they noticed a strange man sitting on the sofa. He was tall, largely built, approximately 250 lbs. He had short very black hair, pale skin; his eyes in some lights were dark brown, sometimes greenish. His face was also as heavily muscled as his body. His clothing was of a black, shimmering material.

He appeared to be accompanied by an attractive, older woman of about 80 years of age. She had long white hair and was wearing new age jewelry. He arose from the couch only once during the course of the party to speak with someone briefly. Many people in the party felt a strong presence and magnetism coming from the stranger. One of the main witnesses felt that the man was studying her, that he was pretty much studying everyone there.

A curious feature was noted about the strange man, that unless you faced him directly, you could not understand a word he was saying, even if you were even at a slight angle to him, all you could make out would be unintelligible nonsense. Another strange thing, was that the witness was sure she was introduced to this man she could not recall the name he gave her.

How can you have a "heavily muscled" face?

shapeshifting

Werewolves have been shapeshifting for years. Maybe they've been teaching the aliens

Anybody find tales of aliens making themselves look like celebrities or even fictional characters so as to engage human interest in them so they can monitor their reactions?

Would seem to be a good idea if an alien is a shapeshifter analysing humans by walking amongst them - just an extension of their research.

:hah:

Saw this book! Have not read it:

Richard Stammler, Ph.D., discusses his research on regression experiences of non-Earth entities in “Transmundo Beings in Regression Therapy: Information about Non-Earth Entities That Arise in Regression Therapy” WARRENTON, VA – While a division exists between those who believe in life outside Earth and those who don’t, Dr. Richard Stammler’s research into experiences with non-Earth entities—known as transmundo beings, or TMB—seeks to provide an answer in “Transmundo Beings in Regression Therapy: Information about Non-Earth Entities That Arise in Regression Therapy” (ISBN 1456487507). Stammler coined the term TMB to provide a label that fully encompasses these experiences, and while some professionals discount the regression discipline, Stammler’s work presents an extensive survey of 63 International Association of Research and Regression Therapies (IARRT) members conducted as part of the author’s dissertation. While 48 percent of the respondents hold advanced degrees such as doctorates, medical degrees or foreign equivalents, nearly three-quarters of professionals who responded worked with clients who reported experiences with transmundo beings. A surprisingly common experience in regression therapies, this phenomenon is thoroughly examined in Stammler’s work. While the author’s study seeks to illustrate the extensive presence of TMB experiences, it also aims to reveal how professionals feel about the reality—and validity—of the phenomenon. The book discusses the frequency in which the various types of experiences with extraterrestrials occur.
