Things That Are NOT UFOs

Drivers in Arizona were looking for lost astronauts after seeing what they thought was a space capsule in a field.

After receiving numerous 911 calls, the Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed it was just an art installation.
The "capsule" is an abandoned cement mixer with a vintage parachute attached to it. Artist Jack Millard bought the mixer for $200 and spent two days transforming it, with the permission of the land owners.

"The cement mixer was abandoned there for 30 years, just rusting in the field," Millard told The Arizona Republic.

Millard painted it to look like the capsules astronauts use to return to Earth after space missions. It even fooled a former NASA engineer, who was among those reporting it to police.

Yes, it's an X-47B being transported from a US Navy research / test facility on the east coast to its manufacturing birthplace (a Northrop Grumman site in California).

Here's the Navy press release ...

NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND, Patuxent River, Md. -- An X-47B unmanned aircraft departed NAS Patuxent River, Md. Jan.26 for cross country trip back to Northrop Grumman's manufacturing facility in Palmdale, Calif. As part of the Unmanned Carrier Air System-Demonstration (UCAS-D) program, the X-47B demonstrated technologies to support the Navy's unmanned carrier aviation efforts. The second X-47B aircraft will make the same trip next month. Northrop Grumman plans to use both aircraft as test beds for future development programs. (U.S. Navy photo)

SecureTeam10 is one of the most viewed YouTube channels, with over 785,000 people subscribing to its conspiracy videos.
But the channel has come under fire, as Lions Ground, a rival channel, claims that it has been intentionally fooling its viewers.
According to Lions Ground, SecureTeam10 has been raking in an estimated £600 ($745) a day by posting fake videos that 'outsmart UFO believers.'

Warning : Daily Mail link!

Second warning : lots of people defending ST10 in the comments!

SecureTeam10 posts a lot of fake stuff in amongst the stuff that looks interesting.
It's infuriating that they don't filter out the crap - but I guess they don't care. Making huge amounts of money.
Wow...so much money to be made... starting a Youtube channel in 5...4...3...2...1...

Crap on the lens does not focus as an image - at most it might reduce the brightness of the image.

The Coniston water object resembles many pics I've seen (and taken myself) of a bird flying by.

That's at least a county away from me!

Looks like some kind of image distortion by the camera. Possibly of the ISS? The con-trails don't look right either.
Yes I usually forget how disparate our definitions of distant / near are. I am Australian.

It does look that shape, but would the ISS be visible in broad daylight?

Agree about the contrail - the striations are odd.

The ISS doesn't leave contrails. Those contrails are definitely smeared in a diagonal fashion, which suggests that the two rectangles are smeared as well . This could be a highly distorted image of a conventional plane, with to areas of strong specular reflection, with a gap caused by the wings. I notice that he states that he has taken a picture like this before - it must be something wrong with his camera (or the way he uses it).

One thing to note is that this is only one photo, but it has been magnified and tweaked in subsequent versions. I'd guess that the photographer accidentally smeared the image by hand-held tremor then copied the result endlessly.
