Time Or Dimensional Slips

I found some of the episode on YouTube.

We don't have a dedicated Gisby and Simpson thread but if you search for their names there is a huge amount of discussion and evidence on this thread. We went into great detail and even tried to contact their children via professional channels.

Probably the most important known fact is that they didn't think it was anything other than an old-fashioned hotel in a rural area until after their holiday and they received the photos back with the hotel ones missing. Only then did they begin to consciously recall odd aspects of their stay and came up with a to time-slip hypothesis. Then during the TV reconstruction that was filmed in France (another wasn't) it seems they didn't venture far enough along the old N7 but instead settled for a similar hotel closer to Montélimar where the proprietor didn't remember them as they were never there.

The other really import known fact is that by Geoff Simpson's own admission the hotel was opposite a petrol station forecourt on the N7 main road and not out in the sticks as has been portrayed. The shutters, unusual soap spike etc can be explained as culture shock.

But, there still could have been a time-slip within those parameters and the story grew in the retelling. For example, the actual time-slip may have been in the morning when they came to pay, along with the woman in the old-fashioned dress and the gendarmes in their dated uniforms. It doesn't have to have happened throughout their stay.
