People talk loudly and almost boastful about the most mundane of things.

I noticed this when an 18-year-old guy came to work for us for a while, everything he said was boastful and noisy. He was really nice but it did strike me as a bit funny, I've noticed it with younger friends in their 20s, too. There's not so much back-and-forth in conversation.

I think a lot of it is just tongue in cheek stuff. (Obviously not my tongue in the cheek of ugly people.)
