Adam Davies:On the track of the Orang Pendek

I can't help but think of the Orange Pendek, a Manimal wearing a bowler and sash marching through the jungle. 12 July is a good time to spot him.

Jon: can you let us know the proposed timing of the speakers and also whether it's possible to get taxis rom nearby villages? Not all of us have cars...

It sounds interesting especially the pygmy elephants and the Orang pendeck, wherever you stand on their politics.

Frustrating for me as I'm only about forty miles away, most of them though are over the Bristol Channel.

I think we are operating a shuttle service but i can't be sure. Drop Jon a line on [email protected]

If anyone has suggestions of who they would like to see in future let us know.

I would say Vinnie Jones but Neanderthals were a sophisticatted, intelligent and sucessfull race.

And, you are right; North Devon would be too lowbrow for them...

Trevor Beer has pulled out due to poor health. I don't know who is replacing him yet. I've got my fingers crossed for Alan Rothwell who used to present Picture Box.

New speaker, genetisist Professor Bryan Sykes will be talking on yeti samples and genetics.
