I did of course make a shrewd purchase: majestic Sundaes, as seen on the picture menu.

Val was directed round the back of the hall where further purchases were made by delighted Weekenders.

I popped along to pick up a couple of meat'n'tatty pies for Techy. He likes them doused with Oxo in hot water.

Mmmm….. mushy peas with gravy & creme brulee in half a loaf. The classic combo.

I am keeping the ice cream van lady informed about next year's proceedings so she can pop over during a break.

Also, I hope to get some form of sustenance organised for the Saturday evening.

Techy and I coped by ordering gigantic pizzas which we ate in the conference hall.
We were ready with light refreshments and entertainment in case people wanted to join us. Perhaps next time?

Was rereading this just now and remarking to Techy that, fun as the Weekend is, the lack of food is a big let-down.
When I go out for a day or weekend I expect to pay folding money for nice nosh.

I understand the elves have been working on them right up until this week (hence the probable lack of bespoke footwear north of Birmingham for the month of July).
