Been listening to this chilled, late night, 1978 concert and finding it rather splendid...

I went through a period of massive immersion in his music and saw him live three times.

Brilliant: a poet and a songsmith.

I have his giant hardback photo/lyric book and it's a work of art.

My girlfriend at the time was a massive fan - we used to play the, 'Come Out Fighting Ghengis Snith' album..... almost religiously.

I've found a couple of videos there, which seem to be.really rare and maybe little known.

That song is probably what you'd describe as 'the perfect pop song'.
John Peel thought 'the perfect pop song' was 'Teenage Kicks' by the Undertones, but I think 'Take on Me' has more style.
Agreed, but teenage kicks has more balls, I don't think the undertones made a bad song.
