I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE INTERESTING FOR EVERYONE TO FIND OUT THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION AMONGST YOU FORTEAN CHAPS. I, OF COURSE, KNOW THE RESULTS ALREADY. AND FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ANSWER "NO" WE'LL HAVE A LITTLE CHAT LATER. ;)

I am a Unitarian Universalist and a pantheist. I believe the universe is a living and "divine" entity in and of itself. The anthropomorphic God of the Bible is a construct of the human mind, created in Man's image by primitive peoples with a limited understanding of the universe.

I thought you were supposed to be my co-pilot. Where ya been lately?

I wouldn't come around here anymore God if I were you. You've caused quite a bit of trouble over the years, you know.

Done any smoting today?

Still messing around with stone tablets or have we learned how to use a keyboard yet?

Learned how to say "Hello" yet or are we still setting fire to bushes?

What's on the agenda for today then? Flood? Pestilence? Kill the first born? Or are you going to be nice for a change?

Why does someone all-seeing and all-knowing have to do a poll?

How could you have put Buddhist as an option but miss out Hindu? Buddha was a Hindu prince remember.

You seem to be slipping a bit, old boy :D

I'VE JUS... sorry
I've just added "Hindu" to G-D's poll.

I COULD ONLY SELECT 10 THINGS, SO I HAVE TO RELY ON THE FLESHBAG NILES CALDER TO GET THINGS STRAIGHT. WHILST HE'S THERE HE MAY AS WELL ADD BLOODY "JEDI" TO THE LIST TOO, KNOWING THIS LOT.

hey god, wanna fight?

ANYTIME. IS THAT ALL YOU'VE GOT? SO YOU WANT TO WEAR THE BIG DADDY PANTS NOW, IS THAT IT. WELL I'M RIGHT HERE WAITING. BRING IT ON.

Ummm, god why haven't you voted for one of the religions on your 'buddy' list yet? it would probably stop a lot of arguements...

The Taoists, Animists, Zoroastrianists, Wiccans, Aums and Voodoo practitioners are going to feel a little left out.

I've always wondered if God would feel the need to type in all capital letters on an internet message board.

God wears pants?

What an interesting vision that is.

I AM A CHRISTIAN ...

The Light of the World for me is Jesus Christ and I am unashamedly one of His followers. I accept the divinity of Jesus Christ who lived as God made flesh and died for our sins upon the cross before being physically resurrected. I believe that by grace we are saved through faith as a gift of God; that Holy Scripture is God's revelation to man who is made in God's image but has gone his own way rather than God's, thus having a bias towards evil. Because of this predilection, man cannot know God except through Christ who died for our sins. Salvation is available to all who choose the way of God. And that way is by Jesus Christ alone.

Good grief

I really do think that religious tolerance is the key to peace and harmony among mankind.

This whole 'Xtians are right and everyone else is wrong' idea, nay belief , really is quite offensive to an awful lot of people. :hmph:

believe what you want to believe, but don't try to judge anyone or convert anyone - that's just plain rude.

agnostic?
atheist?

it's a bit general to put it under "other"!

What's with the beard, I thought God was female??

Interesting poll this. I attempted to pre-empt what the results might be (and if you haven't voted , please take a moment to do so) and came pretty close thus far.
Surely though, I would have thought there would be far more agnostics?
And why so many atheists? Why can people who claim to have the answers be interested in things unexplainable?
I'm not asking this to be accusatory, but merely interested in how minds work. ;)

GOD

GOD. ..I remember reading about "THE OMEGA PIONT'',Where every one and everything in the Universe is rushing to a point in time and space to an Ultimate conclusion..where-by, all will be Know and experienced.,all information on everyone and everything will merge into one giant all Omnipotent, computer;where you will be re-born/etc....whew.... anybody here of that?

Yeah. By physicist Frank Tipple. IMO, an abject lesson in what unresolved emotional grief (he came up with Omega Point after the death of his father, from whom he was estranged) can do to short-circuit the intellect of even the brightest. Tipple's also one of the originators of the 'Anthropomorphic Principle' in cosmology in its stronger forms. (Essentially the -let's be generous and call it an- idea that the universe is the way it is specifically because we're here to experience it.)

re:GOD re:GOD

Thats probably why I have'nt heard much more about that subject. But it was sure interresting at the time,or I probably would not have remembered it.I guest its like saying also, stuff like: if there were no humans to experience the universe it would'nt excist..:cross eye

It comes down to what your most interested in I suppose. Not everyone out there who belives in aliens will belive in ghosts, not everyone who belives in ghosts will belive in the loch ness monster.

Obviously this is a poll done by a "god", because it is getting out of hand rapidly.

Never trust a God to do a Goddess' work....

*sigh *

Idle thought time, kind of on the "who created God" tack - when God made man in his own image, then if God wasn't created then he must have made a conscious decision to put his testicles on the outside. If that's not a design flaw I don't know what is.
Now I mention it, why would He need testicles anyway? Is there a Mrs. God we don't know about?

Since when have atheists claimed to have all the answers? We have just as many questions as everybody else: we only demand that the answers make sense.
