An Oxford University professor has claimed aliens are already breeding with humans to create a new hybrid species that will save the planet.

Dr Young-hae Chi, an instructor in Korean at Oxford’s Oriental Institute, part of the prestigious university, thinks this new species will save Earth from annihilation from climate change.

Dr Chi first said the hybrids may already exist in a lecture in 2012 but has now written a book on the subject.

His book, written in Korean, is called Alien Visitations and the End of Humanity.

He says he has identified four types of aliens – small, tall and bold, scaly with snake eyes, and insect-like. Dr Chi believes the insect aliens may be in charge

Dr Chi said he was “still looking for more evidence to support my view”.

Well, correlation doesn't always imply causation. The rise in alien abduction reports also correlates with increasing ownership of colour TVs, but that doesn't mean aliens have come to watch our tellies.

The good Dr has a rather dull talk up on Youtube. Rather oddly the Kelly Hopkinsville goblins show up on one of his slides along with the long discredited Maury Island hoax.

A reminder that outside their specialism, academics don't necessarily know what they're talking about.

Well I talk shit both within and outside my specialism.

But you've hit the nail on the head here. He teaches Korean, his views outside his job could be as batty as anything and they have no particular validity because he's associated with Oxford.

Actually the Grey Aliens only came when we developed black and white tv and has tailed off since the creation of the third channel and colour TV.

So the next time you hear a psychologist talking about politics, society and lobsters, take it with a big pinch of salt.

Nothing new with that....there have been many 'believers' in aliens over the years who have made similar claims and several have mentioned more than just 4 types. I think one man some years back said there were something like 7 or 9 species..?
Interestingly Hellyer said 4 also...maybe these two guys are friends...?
Another 'opinion'...... https://www.disclose.tv/these-82-alien-species-are-in-contact-with-earth-317842

Is there somewhere that tabulates all the suggestions?

I think said psychologist does have some legitimate authority in those topics, although I agree he probably needs to steer clear of biology. I mean you could point to the animal kingdom for proof that reproduction by violent gang rape is natural and agreeable.

I was more thinking about that bowl-headed nob Cox's views on ghosts for example. In that case as a psychologist even Peterson's views would carry more weight.

My favourite alien gazetteer is by Joe Nickell;

BTW...Joe Nickell is a prominent ufo skeptic...thought that was worth pointing out to anyone looking at that 'alien list'.

I think the image is a subtle form of 'reducio ad absurdum'; it seems absurd that so many varied kinds of aliens would be visiting us over such a short period of time, and rarely coming more than once.

What with my history of cancelled dates (see thread below #127 - #129) I might find alien women more reliable.
Though a giant insect as a mate does not appeal, strangely....

Don't be so judgemental.

Okay, they do have this tendency to try to cover you in spit and gobble you up on the first date, but once you get past that, you'll find them pretty low maintenance, a slender as you'd want, and they have green fingers.

All you need to know on our insectoid brethren:

I agree .....and imho the idea that so many actual space faring races have been here is as absurd as it gets.
I'm still waiting for one of them to publicly say hello.
;)

I was thinking that there weren't that many types lololololol

Allow for sexual dimorphism, age changes etc etc.

There's the big eyed sort and the dwarf/small yeti sort.

I'm interested in the lack of variety - bipedal in almost all cases, face at the top, recognisable "features".... where are the glowing lights? the octopuses? seems to be only one insect?

:)

Getting off topic, but have you heard the theory that there were probably fewer dinosaur species than currently thought? i.e. different fossils currently classified as separate species may instead represent sexual dimorphism and age changes, as you mention.

No, I hadn't - but that would make sense to me.

Fun fact: I was once able to determine (about 75% and the rest unknown) swan gender from skeletal remains.....

We should have a swan-sexing-from-skeletal-remains-off!

They have all been bipedal as far as I know......but the facial aspects and bodies have been diverse....to some degree, but many exobiologists think that any space faring species might be bipedal (and have grasping appendages)for development and tech reasons to be able to build ships, etc...but then I suppose other types of tech are possible though we haven't come up with different modes of travel yet.

I've only started reading on UFO stuff, thank you for your patience peoples!
