It has to be said that the idea of time disturbances explains a hell of a lot of Fortean phenomena. UFOs become aircraft from the future; ghosts become images from past (and future?) times... ABCs become glimpses of a time when lynxes, lions and sabretooth tigers inhabited Britain... Bigfoot...
