If that was a real product it would do well in the UK.

Akin to Bovril, but with the tapioca bubbles.

There is a gap in the market for a vegan alternative to Bovril.

I knew Marmite was vegetarian - didn't know it wasn't vegan.
I don't know that the bubble tea 'thing' took off much here. I, for one, didn't care for it.

That explains it.
That said, my 20-something daughter got into bubble tea ... for about a month then completely dropped the interest.
Though, that's a behaviour pattern of hers.

I went for a job about 4 years ago as a warehouse manager for a 'bubble tea' company.
It was owned and run by some women from (I think) Thailand, and IIRC they had something like 5 branches and were 'expanding'.
Well, they had no idea how to run a business or how to manage stock, and run a warehouse etc etc.
The company folded about 6 months later.

Don't discount firms that pop-up to supply a trend, fully aware that if the trend is short-term, they can shut down quickly.
