when i was about 3 or 4 i witnessed a besom broom sweeping a passage in a victorian house completely on its own. has anyone else had any similar experiences?

Yes, I was once apprenticed to a magician and foolishly cast a spell to make the broomstick fetch water without researching how to make it stop.

Got me into REAL deep water............

yeah, it was in a victorian house 'sweeping' a passageway. i was not under the influence of disney at the time- i had a very unmaterialistic childhood.
