Frogs (and toads) are amazing to me. I look at the visible stages of their development and... just amazing! Right up there with butterflies but less appealing to poets and the romantic.
If you just got snapshots then you'd think that they were different creatures.
Gives me much hope that we /don't/ understand fully how all things work and that Washerwomen at Fords really are depositing the eggs which go through the Each Uisge phase where most stay - and just sometimes, if the environment is right, you get a Nessie or a Champ!
