Oh, it looks like they've got a few August Derleth stories on that page. He wasn't considered the greatest writer (well, neither was Lovecraft, for that matter) but his stories scared me out of several years of growth when I was a kid!

Edgar Lustgarten, but he wasn't really a horror author.

August Derleth : has there ever been a more perfect name for a horror author? Unless there's a writer out there somewhere called Damien Bloodstorm or Victor Deathrage, of course.
Algernon Blackwood

I quite enjoyed the single compilation of his short stories that I borrowed from a friend. It seemed even pulpier than Lovecraft and certainly quicker paced.

There are far worse writers in the 'Mythos' genre.

As to names: Algernon Blackwood! And his best are truly great evocations of fear.

Go and read The Wendigo and The Willows this evening and come back here to thank me tomorrow!
