I've got into the habit of listening to a Why Files deep dive into woo stuff before going to bed.
Last night's was something I hadn't heard of before - the Kozyrev mirror.
This experimental device invented by Nikolai Kozyrev of the Russian Acadamy of Sciences, comprises a reflective surface curved into a Fibonacci spiral.

The test subject sits at the centre and, after experiencing some bizarre effects including a tingling and floating sensation, disorientation and nausea, finds that their ESP capability has increased enormously and they become capable of remote viewing, time travel and even making contact with interdimensional beings or aliens.
Anyone who's followed the Why Files will know the usual format; AJ plays up all the woo stuff surrounding say Nostradamus, the Man from Taured, Cryptids, various conspiracies etc. and then, in the second half, thoroughly debunks it all. Except with The Kozyrev mirror, AJ seems to keep an open mind about its capabilities.
Check out the YouTube video and let me know what you reckon.

I've not heard of that one before either. Bedtime listening for tonight sorted !
Enjoy!
My method of rating a Why Files episode is to see whether or not I fall asleep before hearing the end.
The Kozyrev Mirror kept me interested and awake right up until the conclusion, which prompted me to Google for further information.

Is the effect of this any different from using a bog-standard psychomanteum I wonder?

On the same topic, attorney Andrew Basiago claims his father worked for Curtiss Wright Aircraft in Wood Ridge, NJ, back in the 1960s and 1970s. He went to the company with his father and participated in some teleportation experiments based on Nikola Tesla's notes.
(Curtiss Wright is long gone, but I had interviewed there for an office position back in the day and wish I had taken the job, perhaps as an employee I might have heard some interesting details on this, who knows.)
At any rate, Basiago claims he is in a photo as a child with Abraham Lincoln.

His interview with Art Bell is stunning in detail, and after all the government did have possession of Tesla's paperwork upon his death in 1943:

I remember seeing this guy on some TV programme and got the impression then that his father had somehow wangled getting him involved, which seemed a strange thing for a father to do given the obvious risks. From the above it seems that more children were involved. That seems pretty cynical given that Basiago's shoes were "lost". Were any kids lost as well?
How would they cover up the loss of a child?
"Where's Andy?" "Oh! He'll be back anytime, er, literally anytime at all."

It is a very strange story -
And it was on our History channel again just the other day. This was back in the 1960s and 1970s when things were a bit different, and apparently other children were involved in this Tesla teleportation experiment as well.

And where are the missing shoes? Are they the ones that turn up hanging from telephone wires? :)
