How're the psychic powers of people on this forum? I just drew a sequence on a piece of paper. What was it? :)

Hint: focus your mind on the paper! Turn off any music. Stop looking at porn or whatever you're doing and relax! Clear your mind of all thoughts... (no idea if that helps, but it sounds about right)

[edit] Oh, and I'm not voting on this one, so the first vote is not me :p

I wrote "TOP" at the top just in case anybody got confused :)

There seems to be a consensus - are we correct? (PM us if you don't want to reveal the answer)

Not telling until there's a few more! :p

Interesting how your group psychology is working though, the first person did square, triangle, circle, so lots of others did too... but several people think I've decided to be sneaky and put two circles and a triangle to catch you out... well, you might be right, you might be wrong... :)

...that one seemed to leap out at me.

Same here Ghost Dog, it was the first thing that caught my eye when the page was loading. Didn't bother to read the others much as as soon as I think about these things I never get them right! :D

I am not making this up, but I decided on Square, Triangle, Circle as well, before reading the results or looking at the posts. In fact, I had only read the first option and had to look to see if S-T-C was actually there!

Doesn't mean to say it's right though!

Nor did I, Stu. Circle, circle, triangle.

Triangle, Circle, Square.

Didn't read the thread either.

Circle Circle Triangle.

Read the thread though and actually thought square square circle before I reached the bottom of the options.

I got jumped on by square triangle circle, once again not having read the thread

I did as the instructions said and imaged a piece of paper, and on it appeared square, triangle, circle.

I don't think we are being led by the concensus, as most of us are selecting a sequence before we post or read the existing posts.

exactly. I'm going to be so annoyed when it's something else...

Howay, man, divvent keep us in suspenders, like!

Give us the answer . . . please . . .

Carole

The Answer is...

Triangle, Circle, Square

You're all rubbish! (well, apart from the lucky 1/6th who got it right) ;)

(For posterity, the results were:

Triangle, Square, Circle 2 5.56%
Triangle, Circle, Square 6 16.67%
Square, Triangle, Circle 11 30.56%
Triangle, Square, Circle 7 19.44%
Circle, Circle, Triangle 8 22.22%
Square, Circle, Circle 2 5.56% )

Well done to those who got it. I wonder what was going on phsychologically and telepathically there though?
Phsyc wise, it could have been that the most popular answer was somewhere roughly in the middle and that's why people where drawn to it. Or another reason I couldn't tell you the ins and outs of (!;) ) but is phsyc pleasing or relative like those 'think of a number, now color and tool' (Had a 'red hammer' ;) thread like that in chat.) quizes.
I mention telepathy because I have a habbit, of when I'm watching quiz shows to give the same answer just before the contestant does (Even if it's totaly off and non relevant.) which is the same as theirs but totaly wrong.
What does everybody think of collective concisousness here?

I likely should have warned people NOT to pick what I did. I always fail the "are you psychic?" tests. Generally random selection would generate, say 15% correct. I will get 3% correct.

Sigh.

Don't despair: You may be antipsychic. An antipsychic is someone who always (or at least a statistically significant proportion of the time) get the wrong answer. If you are aware of the effect, you simply have to change your answer to that least like the one you feel is correct, and you'll be right 97% of the time (based on your 3% result above).

For the record, I just voted, and got the wrong answer. So much for morphic resonance.

Ooh, Ooh I got it right! For those that are interested here's how I did it. I shut my eyes, pictured in my mind a triangle, square and circle and as I was thinking about it, the circle moved to the centre position. Nothing else happened so I figured that was the best combination to go with.

I was with the Square, Triangle, Circle people.

It seems to me that above pattern has a certain intrinsic nature to it. Square being the most basic and fundamental shape, followed by triangle (slightly more complicated mathematically) and then the circle (very complex).

I am not saying that the conscious process would go through this pattern - just that there is an instinctive nature which would put those in that order (or at least it makes sense to me).

Alternatively, it may be just that the pattern reminds me of the Playschool windows (although I fear it may have been a rectangle instead of a triangle). Wasn't it always the case that the most exciting short videos were from the round window?

I was right. I think. I'm not sure what I voted for but I think it was that one. But I was confused- I visualised it in a vertical arrangement.

I voted circle circle triangle.
I actually visuallised circle circle square, but that wasn't an option.
I would have been 2/3 right!
