TWO 'dopes' have been arrested after driving on to a private property being used for training by an elite police unit - while allegedly carrying 27 deal bags of cannabis.
Duty Superintendent Louise Jorgensen said officers from the Tactical Response Group (TRG) were undergoing training on the property at Lee Point when they saw a vehicle drive onto that property as a trespasser.
Officers approached the vehicle and spoke to the driver and occupants about what they were doing on the property.
"The vehicle was searched and a quantity of cash and 27 bags of cannabis were located," she said.
Supt Jorgensen said as well as the trespass offence, a 19-year-old occupant will appear in court for possess and supply, and other cannabis-related offences.
