I believe the eye in the triangle atop a pyramid on the dollar bill refers to the Hindu god Shiva. You may be aware of this idea: look on the web and you will find many people offering this notion...but none of them go into the detail that I am about to do.
Shiva is notable for having a third eye in his forehead. This is depicted along with three lines.
On the dollar bill we have an eye in a triangle. Of course a triangle is formed from three lines. Some Hindus, apparently, would paint a triangle on their heads to depict Shiva's eye.
http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct...OinKLvqa-TF6_L
The eye on the dollar bill has rays of light emanating from it. Shiva's third eye, when opened, would emit a ray of light that destroys all it looks upon.
The eye on the dollar bill is said to be the eye of God. Shiva was the prime god in Hinduism.
The eye is atop a pyramid. Shiva is known for sitting on top of a mountain called Kailash in Tibet. WHat is a pyramid but a manmade mountain.
"Mount Kailash somewhat unusual shape has led to speculations that perhaps the mountain is not a mountain at all. Russian scientists have suggested that the top of Mount Kailash is actually a giant man-made pyramid from ancient times. Now, if this is true, then human history has to be re-written. It would mean that this is the largest known pyramid known today.

Scientists who have studied the mountain’s topography and structure say that it has a pyramidal shape, and not unlike all known pyramids, is strictly oriented to the cardinal points. “The results of recent Russian studies of Tibet and the Kailash range in particular, if true, could radically alter our knowledge on the growth of humanity and civilizations. One of the theories that the Russians have put forth is that Mt. Kailash could be a vast, human-built pyramid, the heart of an entire complex of a hundred smaller pyramids."
http://www.messagetoeagle.com/myster...y-of-the-gods/
Shiva resides on mount Kailash. In this word we find Kali(destructive aspect of Devi -one of Shiva's wives) and ash. Ash denotes something burnt. Destroyed. We also find the word ash in Shiva. Shiva is white because he smears himself in ash.
The dollar bill pyramid has 13 layers. Kailash just happens to be 1319 metres tall. The dollar bill pyramid has 13 layers and add to that the eye of Shiva and we have 14. In Hinduism there are 14 layers to reality or 14 worlds.
Pyramids generally are connected to death. In south america they were places of human sacrifice.

There is a statue of Shiva at CERN home of the Hadron Collider.

"Fake human sacrifice filmed at Cern, with pranking scientists suspected"

"The ceremony appears to have been staged in front of a statue of the Hindu deity Shiva that is on permanent display at the complex, home of the Large Hadron Collider."

"Asked to detail the security procedures surrounding access to the campus, the Cern spokeswoman said: “Cern IDs are checked systematically at each entry to the Cern site whether it is night or day.”"

"She further indicated that those responsible for the prank had access badges."

https://www.theguardian.com/science/...ists-suspected
"He(Shiva) was associated with death, fertility cults, worship of bulls and serpents, magical cures, funeral rites, warrior cults, battle field rituals and human sacrifices."

http://www.hinduwebsite.com/siva/ancientforms.asp
Egyptian pyramids were also places where they would bury their rulers. As we see from the above quote Shiva was associated with death in the early years of his believers.
At the base of the dollar bill pyramid we see roman numerals. If you divide them into groups of 3 they come out as 6616. Very close to 666. Number of the beast in the book of Revelations.
"This 666 is the symbol of the reborn soul and of God. Now, a friend of mines whom is Greek and who has ancient knowledge in Greek, showed me in the Greek Bible the 666 is put as Xi Chi Stau. However the original spelling of the 666 in the ancient world and this is the revealing part. Its Chi Vav Vav. In ancient Kabala the repeating of letters in this case would just be filling in the number code, its the actual letters to be used here in kabala would be ChiVav.... And from here the Vav becomes Va as the Kabala texts show."

"Chiva is the ancient name of the serpent God associated with the moon in the Near East, which is originally male, this was also spelled as Sheba the B and V are double letters so one can be exchanged for the other. Sheba becomes Shiva further east were this knowledge came from. Shiva is still called Lord Chandra, the Moon God. The Chiva is also called The Breath of Life. The prana energy of the soul and all creation which is shown as the serpent in Hinduism. The Chi is Shi. ""

"In Hinduism Shiva is called.... Kabala Iswara, the Lord of the Kabala."

The pyramid on the dollar bill contains a code. If you place a star of david over the pyramid then five of the points of the star point to letters in the words around the pyramid. They happen to form an anagram of the word MASON. The eye is a symbol of Masonry(being God) and the dollar bill symbol was commissioned by top mason president Roosevelt. Freemasonry can be connected to the Knights Templars(they made a base in Scotland when they were being persecuted - Freemasonry began in Scotland not long after. Many of the titles of masonry are taken from the Templars) The Knights Templars were obssessed with Jerusalem and were thought to have excavated Solomon's temple where they camped for years. It is theorised that the Templars were concerned with protecting the Davidian line, which includes Jesus and his supposed offspring.

So it is not surprising that Shiva would be connected to the Kabbalah (Jewish mysticism) if the eye on the dollar bill is Shiva. Freemasons worship the grand architect. Shiva was the destroyer of worlds but he also brought them into existence with his drum.
"A damaru (Sanskrit: damaru; Tibetan ???????; Devanagari: ????) or damru is a small two-headed drum, used in Hinduism and Tibetan Buddhism. In Hinduism, the damru is known as the instrument of the deity Shiva, and is said to be created by Shiva to produce spiritual sounds by which the whole universe has been created and regulated.[citation needed] In Tibetan Buddhism, the damaru is used as an instrument in tantric practices.[citation needed]"
The drum REGULATES the universe?
Shiva is also known as Maheshwara which according to one book I read means 'controller'.
Seems he is more than a destroyer then.
So the star of david is a symbol related to Shiva? Seems so. The upward pointing triangle is Shiva and the downward one is his wife Shakti.
https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=...iangle&f=false
"The Six-Pointed Star (SHATKONA)
A typical combination often found in the graphical structure of a YANTRA is the superposition of two triangles, one pointing upwards and the other downwards, forming a star with six points (SHATKONA), also known as David’s Star. This form symbolically represents the union of PURUSHA and PRAKRITI or SHIVA-SHAKTI, without which there could be no Creation."

We have touched upon the Kabbalah. Shiva turns up in it. He is represented by Chokmah. The god name associated by Chokmah is YAH. The first part of YAHWEH, the Jewish name for God.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binah_(Kabbalah)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chokhmah_(Kabbalah
Shiva and Yahweh are very similar in theme. Both are destructive. Many people are killed by God or killed by his orders in the old testament.
In Judaism we have Shiva.

Shiva (Hebrew: ??????, literally "seven") is the week-long mourning period in Judaism for first-degree relatives: father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, and spouse. The ritual is referred to as "sitting shiva". Immediately after burial, people[1] assume the halakhic status of "avel" (Hebrew: ???; "mourner"). This state lasts for seven days, during which family members traditionally gather in one home (preferably the home of the deceased) and receive visitors. At the funeral, mourners traditionally wear an outer garment or ribbon that was torn at the funeral in a ritual known as keriah. This garment is worn throughout shiva.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiva_(Judaism)
(so Shiva is related to death here?)
Seven? The Kaaba in Mecca is said to be related to Shiva. It is said to contain a stone connected to Shiva. Hinduism was popular in the area before Islam. Muslims circle the Kaaba SEVEN times to venerate their God.

"Shiva is another name for Satan in the occult and the triangle with one point pointing up is a symbol for Satan. Most likely this is the reason why the pyramid is such an important symbol to the Mason. "

But they compare the triangle to shiva.
The 13 layers of the dollar pyramid make up 72 stones. In Judaism there are 72 names for god.

https://livingwisdom.kabbalah.com/72-names-god
The glass pyramid outside the Louvre in Paris has 672 panes. Take 6 away and we have 666.
"J.D. Buck mason has written that all-seeing eye which every master mason has is the eye of Shiva (Hindu god) that is active and combines sound and light. "

"The Hindu Community Plymouth received a donation from the William Alexander Kneel Endowment (WAKE) Fund to purchase an effigy (not pictured) of the Lord Shiva, for use in the Plymouth crematoriums. The WAKE Fund was set up in memory of a former Devonshire Provincial Grand Master to deliver aid to local organisations. Members of Victory Lodge, No. 4189, were invited to attend and participate in the blessing of the effigy, which has a brass plaque stating that it has been donated by Devonshire Freemasons"

Shiva/Siva in Freemasonry...

""And lastly, among the Hindus, the three manifestations of their supreme deity, Brahma, Siva, and Vishnu, were symbols of the rising, meridian, and setting sun."

The interior of the cavern of initiation was lighted by innumerable lamps, and there sat in the east, the west, and the south the principal Hierophants, or explainers of the Mysteries, as the representatives of Brahma, Vishnu, and Siva. Now, Brahma was the supreme deity of the Hindoos, borrowed or derived from the Sun-god of their Sabean ancestors, and Vishnu and Siva were but manifestations of his attributes. We learn from the Indian Pantheon that "when the sun rises in the east, he is Brahma; when he gains his meridian in the south, he is Siva; and when he sets in the west, he is Vishnu.""

"There are those who claim that the Freemasons constitute a powerful secret brotherhood of darkness that is planning to take over the world. According to some scholars of the occult, the Masons' "Supreme Architect of the Universe" is none other than Lucifer, who cloaks himself in Masonic literature under such names as Zoraster, Shiva, Abaddon, and other pagan-god disguises."

http://www.unexplainedstuff.com/Secr...reemasons.html
There are reasons to connect Shiva to the devil...
"The Devils Reign features images depicting devils and dark gods from current and past cultures, as well as monstrous characters inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulu mythos. The Satanic Bible, first published in 1969 and written by Church of Satan founder Anton Szandor LaVey, was used as inspiration for the exhibit. Artists referenced LaVey’s roster called The Infernal Names which features a list of more than 50 devilish deities compiled from world mythology, including Satan, Lilith, the Greek fertility god Pan, Dracula, Loki, and even Hindu divinities Shiva and Kali. This is the first show and published art book of its kind associated directly with the Church of Satan.

Shiva is related to Tamo-Guna.

"Tamas (Sanskrit: ???? tamas "darkness") is one of the three Gunas (tendencies, qualities, attributes), a philosophical and psychological concept developed by the Samkhya school of Hindu philosophy.[1] The other two qualities are rajas (passion and activity) and sattva (purity, goodness). Tamas is the quality of imbalance, disorder, chaos, anxiety, impurity, destruction, delusion, negativity, dullness or inactivity, apathy, inertia or lethargy, violence, viciousness, ignorance"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamas_(philosophy)

"LORD SIVA represents the destructive aspect of Brahman. That portion of Brahman that is enveloped by Tamo-Guna-Pradhana-Maya is Lord Siva"

"He destroys the world when He is associated with Tamo Guna, and He is called Siva or Rudra."
Rudra (/?r?dr?/; Sanskrit: ?????) is a Rigvedic deity, associated with wind or storm[1] and the hunt. The name has been translated as "the roarer".[2][3][4] In the Rigveda, Rudra has been praised as the "mightiest of the mighty".[5] Rudra is the personification of 'terror'. Depending up on the poetic situation, Rudra can be meant as the most severe roarer/howler (could be a hurricane or tempest ) or the most frightening one.[6] The Shri Rudram hymn from the Yajurveda is dedicated to Rudra, and is important in the Saivism sect.[7][8]"

The Hindu god Shiva shares several features with the Rudra: the theonym Shiva originated as an epithet of Rudra, the adjective shiva ("kind") being used euphemistically of Rudra, who also carries the epithet Aghora, Abhayankar ("extremely calm [sic] non terrifying").[3] Usage of the epithet came to exceed the original theonym by the post-Vedic period (in the Sanskrit Epics), and the name Rudra has been taken as a synonym for the god Shiva and the two names are used interchangeably.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudra

"There is even an argument that he is the same God of wrath mentioned in the Bible and worshipped by the Muslims in the Kaaba. "

"Shiva was feared because he caused death by taking heat away from living beings and made them cold. "

"The Indus people (6000 BC to 2000 BC) probably worshipped a prototype of Siva, but we are not sure whether the male deity depicted in the Indus seals had any connection with him. The seals show a male figure with three faces and a pair of horns over his head,"

Like the devil?

"According to historians several features of Saivism, some popular names of Siva including the name Siva itself and worship of Siva came to us from non-Vedic traditions, especially ancient Dravidian traditions. The Dravidians, known as Dramilas, Dramiza or Termilois"

"Based on some anthropological similarities, some historians believe them to be Semitic in origin "
(seems Shiva began as a Jewish deity)

"The Dravidians worshipped Siva, whose name seems to have been derived from the Tamil root word shivan meaning the red one"

(Red? Like the devil?)

"The Vedic texts8 address Rudra also as Sarva and Bhava, cheat and lord of the thieves,"

"he is patron of thieves and robbers, and is himself a thief, robber, and deceiver;"

"According to James Talboys Wheeler10 , "Siva was a mystic deity of Turanian origin, and described as half-intoxicated with drugs, and associated with ideas of death and reproduction". "
http://www.hinduwebsite.com/siva/ancientforms.asp
Shiva's weapon was a trident. Trident, horns and red? Who does that sound like?
In one story he burns off one of the faces of Brahma because he thought he did not show him enough respect? A god of love and wisdom? I think Shiva is very devilish.
In one myth he creates demons.
"Shiva’s wife was Parvati, often incarnated as Kali and Durga. She was in fact a reincarnation of Sati (or Dakshayani), the daughter of the god Daksha. Daksha did not approve of Sati’s marriage to Shiva and even went further and held a special sacrificial ceremony to all the gods except Shiva. Outraged at this slight, Sati threw herself on the sacrificial fire. Shiva reacted to this tragedy by creating two demons (Virabhadra and Rudrakali) from his hair who wreaked havoc on the ceremony and beheaded Daksha"

"Lord Siva is called the Bhuta-natha, being assisted by various types of powerful ghosts and denizens of the inferno--Bhutas, Pretas, Pramathas, Guhyakas, Dakinis, Pisacas, Kusmandas, Vetalas, Vinayakas and Brahma-raksasas. (Of all kinds of ghosts, the Brahma-raksasas are very powerful. Brahmanas transferred to the role of ghosts become Brahma-raksasas.)"

http://www.harekrsna.com/philosophy/...ses/bhutas.htm
Shiva, in one myth, destroyed love(KAMA) when he disturbed his meditation. He would only allow Kama to be reborn if he took the name Maya(delusion).
So he turns love into delusion?
I'm not saying Shiva is the devil. But if the masons worship him in this role I can see why. They may know more we do about the myths of Shiva.
Shiva was often to be found in graveyards followed by vampiric demons. Shiva would head the procession decked out in snakes and a necklace of skulls. Sounds nice. Not at all devlish. Some have linked this to a Hindu practise where people would offer up negative emotions to demons in graveyards for them to eat. Very suspicious. Satanist love graveyards.
"Why were most of the demons, devotees of Shiva ? Do they obey their lord Shiva, once they get spiritual powers from him ?"

"The symbol of the Ankh in Egyptian has a specific name its a letter that spells the name of a divinity. The Ankh is in two parts the top is the Shi letter and the shaft the Va letter in Egyptian. This in Egyptian symbolism forms the formula of the Ankh which spells Shiva. And is called: Infinity, Eternity. This symbol later becomes the trident letter in the ancient alphabet. Some think the concept of infinity or eternity in Sanskrit is called Sat-an.

The Ankh is originally called An in Egyptian. In India, An is also a ancient name of Shiva. Who carries the trident. The symbol of the Ankh in Egypt is the Trident in the east.

The An is also called the Anki in Sumeria, which had the same culture as the Egyptians. Anki is the proper spelling of Enki. Who is also called SAT-AN in Sumeria as well."
"Shaitan is Arabic for Satan."

"Anki is called the Lord of the Eye. The Eye of Shiva in Hinduism. The Ankh was drawn in Egyptian art pointing to the forehead to symbolize the open eye.

The Ankh is the symbol of life in Egypt and Anki is the God of the Waters of Life in Sumeria. Shiva as a mantra is used in the head to activate the pineal gland which secrets the dew which is the water of life the Soma or Amrit which means "Immortality" in Sanskrit. Satan is also Satanama in Hinduism a mantra to open the third eye.

The ancient texts in the east and near east state that Shiva ruled the golden age of humanity in Kumara Kandam and taught humans spiritual, cosmic knowledge so that humans could ascend, in the first Sangha."
http://www.dnaindia.com/india/report...-shiva-2186655
Shiva was also responsible for all the disease on earth.
"One of the most important and popular deities in the Hindu religion, Shiva is involved in some of the more important stories detailing the creation of the world, including the creation of disease. Daksha, Shiva’s father-in-law, had arranged a horse sacrifice, inviting all the gods to attend the ceremony—except for Shiva. Sati, Daksha’s daughter and Shiva’s wife, saw the god sitting alone and asked why he wasn’t going. When she found out, she was ashamed, saying “among all things (he) was superior.”

Angered beyond reason at his wife’s words, Shiva attacked Daksha’s sacrifice, chasing it with a bow and arrow with the assistance of his terrifying servants. During the chase, a drop of sweat fell from his forehead and hit the ground, turning into a short, red-eyed man named Disease (Fever, in some other versions). The other gods relented, allowing Shiva to join in the sacrifice, provided he divided up this new creation, for the world would not be able to bear such an ailment. Shiva agreed, dividing Disease into several different pieces, creating different illnesses for different creatures."

"Simian immunodeficiency viruses (SIVs) are retroviruses that cause persistent infections in at least 45 species of African non-human primates.[1][2] Based on analysis of strains found in four species of monkeys from Bioko Island, which was isolated from the mainland by rising sea levels about 11,000 years ago, it has been concluded that SIV has been present in monkeys and apes for at least 32,000 years, and probably much longer.[3][4]

Virus strains from two of these primate species, SIVsmm in sooty mangabeys and SIVcpz in chimpanzees, are believed to have crossed the species barrier into humans, resulting in HIV-2 and HIV-1 respectively, the two human immunodeficiency viruses."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simian...ficiency_virus

"Simian-Human Immunodeficiency Virus (SHIV) Containing the nef/Long Terminal Repeat Region of the Highly Virulent SIVsmmPBj14 Causes PBj-Like Activation of Cultured Resting Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells, but the Chimera Showed No Increase in Virulence"

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC110099/

SIV? SHIV? Shiva is also known as SIVA. In the word Shiva we get HIV. AIDS.
So does this not fit with the idea that Freemasons worship Shiva? It is generally believed that masonry is a front for satanism and the Illuminati. Would they not worship a god so destructive? Misguided or not the evidence is there.

David Icke says in one of his books that Shiva and Saturn are the same. He believes that the God Saturn and the planet are one and the same and that Saturn is the devil or demiurge(a gnostic phrase) and that he is the evil controlling the world. He believes Saturn is sending negative energy to us via the MOON.
"In Vedic Astrology, Shiva is represented by the planet Saturn, sometimes known as the Lord of Karma. "

http://ezinearticles.com/?Saturn-and...ogy&id=3588819
Lets talk about Ganesh. In one story he has his head burnt off by Sani(Saturn, also known as Kruralochnana -the cruel eyes one. Shades of Kronos and Krueger?)

https://forum.davidicke.com/showthre...dgetusk+kronos

when Ganesh is guarding his mothers door. In another myth it is Shiva who chops off his head while guarding his mothers door. Both these gods have vision that destroys. I put it to you that they are one and the same.
Shiva is also depicted with the MOON in his hair. Saturn and Moon? Maybe Icke is right.
But Saturn has a ring? Shiva is often depicted dancing inside a ring of fire. WHen Saturn was nearer earth it would appear in the sky and its ring would glow...like fire?
Shiva once swallowed the poisonous venom of a giant snake called Vasuki when the gods were creating AMRITA. Shiva saved the world in doing this. His neck for ever blue with the venom. If you know anything about Icke's theories he says the devil is reptilian in nature and appearance. Did this poison turn him evil?
Shiva was not always dodgy. I wonder if the myths cover the life of the person we know as the devil. From good to bad.
Icke believes that all the major gods in all the major religions are the devil. And that he masquerades as good.
So endeth the lesson but be prepared for more...

Saturn in Jewish mystical thought is a force which is neutral, the idea is to steer it from evil and use it for good.

Little doubt there are numerous masonic symbols on the dollar bill, the USA seems to me to have been set up as Masonic Republic, but it has not always been governed according to Masonic principles.

The following song "E Pluribus Unum" from 1972 by the Last Poets explores the dollar bill symbolism further, they spent 18 months researching the lyrical content. I am not in accordance with all their findings but it is worth a listen.

The lyrics are written on this link for those who wish to study further

Thanks for that. I left a link to this page on theirs. :) getting the truth out there slowly.

So Saturn is neutral? I don't necessarily think Shiva is evil but the Freemasons could see him that way. There is more evidence of him acting badly than good.

I have not equated Saturn with Shiva. You have done that.

The eye in the triangle is an old Christian symbol. The triangle represents the trinity, and the eye represents the omniscient observation of God. It is also known as the Eye of Providence. You can find it in lots of old European Churches, starting with Aachen Cathedral. Its later adoption by the Ancient Illuminated Seers of Bavaria in 1776 was an expression of their Catholicism, not their Freemasonry.

You can find it in lots of old European Churches, starting with Aachen Cathedral. Its later adoption by the Ancient Illuminated Seers of Bavaria in 1776 was an expression of their Catholicism, not their Freemasonry.

That's as maybe, but of the 55 delegates to the 1787 Constitutional Convention, only two were Catholics.
Most were various types of Protestant.

From Wikipedia:

In "The Religious Beliefs of America's Founders: Reason, Revelation, and Revolution",
Gregg Frazer argues that the leading Founders (Adams, Jefferson, Franklin, Wilson, Morris, Madison, Hamilton, and Washington) were neither Christians nor Deists, but rather supporters of a hybrid "theistic rationalism".[37]

Hi Victory. Theistic rationalism was all the rage back in 1787. Nobody quite wanted to admit that all that time they spent in Church was wasted. Similarly there was a style of thought popular in Protestantism that what we now call the Anthropic Principle in Science was actually God's "visible hand and intention in creating the world".

On the other hand, while I would accept that the Founding Fathers were frequently Freemasons, there is no evidence that they had ever been to Bavaria, let alone that any of the Founding Fathers were members of the Ancient Illuminated Seers of Bavaria. That would definitely have shown up in the papers seized by the Bavarian Secret Police when they shut the "book club" down for sedition. I call the AISoB a book club, because for the most part, that's what it was, a literary discussion group.

The Eye of Providence is a nod to the trinity, by using a triangle, as well as a nod to the mathematics inherent in the order in the universe. While it shows up in quite a few Churches, the only other place I have ever heard of the symbol is allegedly on the Great Pyramid of Khufu's Capstone, which supposedly once had an eye on it. Now while the Freemasons sometimes like to claim credit for building the Pyramids, the fact is it's just a pose as they didn't exist back then, and the Bavarian Illuminati even less so.

What is less uncertain is why the Catholics hated the Freemasons so very much that their suspicions have infected even Protestant communities in the USA (against all reason). The fact was that Freemasonry offered an alternative meeting place to Church, and one which was avowedly egalitarian, where men of all social classes could mingle freely and share ideas without threat of censure, beyond the reach of the Church's authority. In Protestant Countries this was hardly even worth a comment, but in Catholic Countries this was "obviously a hotbed of heresy and sedition". To this end, where the Inquisition failed, the Church recruited their best agents of the Counter-Reformation, the Jesuits, to infiltrate and subvert Freemasonry. This was a fairly successful attempt to destroy the Freemasonic movement, that created a lot of acrimony in the movement. The "book club" was one of the biggest flash points of that conflict.

The Church was as under threat at the time as the Feudal Order that had governed Europe since the fall of Rome, with the growing merchant class and its liberal attitudes undermining the class system. From the papers on record the AISoB were early proto-Communists a la Fra Dolcino and the Dulcinians (remember them from Name of the Rose?), and their dislike for the Bavarian Monarchy was grounds for their arrest. We can be certain that there were plenty of critics of the European status quo who found a voice in the Freemasonic movement.

Most of the charges against the Freemasons actually come from the Native American Party. Now these were not your First American style of Native Americans, but essentially a proto-KKK outfit who hated immigrants. They were also known as the Know Nothing Party. They had somehow decided that the Roman Catholic Church had infiltrated Washington through Freemasonry. In short, they were the tinfoil hat brigade of their day, and the proof of the matter is that the USA is not Roman Catholic today despite all the hoo ha. Ever wonder what all the fuss with Kennedy being Catholic was all about? Supposedly a Catholic's first allegiance is to the Pope not his country, and the Know Nothings were all certain that the Catholics finally held power. Of course the game had long since moved on, and Freemasonry's power had been in rapid decline ever since the coming of Television. After all, why pay good money to go to the boring old Lodge meeting when you can stay home and watch "I love Lucy" before it was ever a re-run?
