Has The Incidence Of 'Mysterious Deaths Near Water' Dropped?

It occurred to me the other day, amid reading more theories about 'pushers' killing people near water... has the incidence of 'mysterious' water based deaths dropped due to Covid lockdowns, and is it for the reasons we suspect?

With university students being sent home and the usual levels of socialising among the young having dropped, particularly over winter and spring when the river levels are high, has there been a concomitant reduction in the number of bodies found in water? And if the number has dropped, then does this give weight to the idea that the numbers of deaths of young people near water may be due to unwise behaviour around rivers/the sea whilst intoxicated, rather than a murderer whose chief method of killing is pushing people into water?

What if the killers prey is in fewer numbers due to lockdown?
Wouldn't a killer just wait around for a suitable target though? There have been people around, especially in the summer when we were allowed out of lockdown - but the students were all at home for the vacs. Wouldn't it just now be older people ending up in the water? Unless this serial killer can manage to suppress their urge to kill extremely well...
What if the killer caught COVID 19 and has died?
Possible, this is true. We will see once the students get back to normal amounts of drunken behaviour.

I've got one of those littering up my house, drinking honey Jack Daniels and coke at 5pm on a Tuesday.
If they go anywhere near a body of water, follow them and observe...

Ditto......mine is also rather partial to JD (must be a student thing!) although when he wishes to go a bit more upmarket he goes for his favourite single malt, Benromach. Can’t touch it myself as I gave myself alcoholic poisoning as a young teen by downing half a bottle of neat Glenfiddich....that sort of put me off whisky for life!
