I vaguely knew that John Podesta is regarded as having great interest and belief in UFOs, but having just stumbled across something on another forum I'm now a bit more interested.

These two emails are from Wikileaks so I guess it should be advised to take them with a grain of salt because they could be fakes.

Anyway, I found them curious little pieces and was wondering what people here thought. I've seen them laughed at online and also believed in. Personally speaking I'm sitting on the fence. :)

Here they are:

Poor old Ed Mitchell. He never did get to meet an alien. I've got half an inkling that a few of the Right Stuff guys joined NASA in order to meet extraterrestrials, who were probably hovering just outside the atmosphere.

I'm not seeing anything even remotely substantive here ...

Neither email message was transmitted by Edgar Mitchell. Both were apparently sent by Terri Mansfield (cited in one of the messages as 'Catholic colleague'), who didn't bother to even spell Mitchell's name correctly in the subject line of the January 18 transmittal.

Anyone who'd obtained Podesta's email address could send him who-knows-what as a message. The apparent fact he received these solicitous messages doesn't demonstrate he gave them - or their content - any credence. If Podesta had responded to either or both these messages, his response(s) might be interesting.

If there's a point in publicizing these messages I fail to grasp it. Podesta had expressed interest in such topics years earlier, so there's no news value with regard to him.
