I'm the sort of proud owner of a Moqui ball. I bought it when I was in my late 20's but that's not important. I was told at the time that these are created/born when lighting hits the sand of a desert and native american kids used to use them to play marbles. They're spherical stones partly consisting of iron.
Apparently, there's a 'male' and 'female' type of these objects according to some people. The female is intended in an area and the male stones protrude instead in the same way.
I own a 'female' Moqui ball I've been told ..
Here's all sorts of nonsense about them ..
