Planned Obsolescence in Modern Products

talking of vacuum cleaners... my parents still have the Hoover junior they got as a wedding present in 1968... still going strong. By contrast, my mate's just had to return his 3rd Dyson in 3 years.

it's nice to find that some manufacturers build stuff to last, and actually provide spares if you need them. When we moved house we bought a Dualit toaster... built like a tank in Croydon, UK

Everybody outside of Malmsbury knows that Dysons dont suck...

Its just they are produced in such pretty colours, people buy them.
