Civil servants call in exorcist
An exorcist has been called in after a ceiling collapsed and landed on the head of Romania's agriculture minister.
Father Cristian Deheleanu was called after a spate of bizarre accidents convinced civil servants their headquarters was haunted.
Officials complained of burst water pipes, slamming doors and mysterious phone calls as well as the ceiling that fell on the minister.
In the most recent incident, a wall collapsed on a ministry advisor, prompting office manager Sergiu Chelmu to blame evil spirits and order in a priest.
Father Deheleanu used holy water, a crucifix and said a set of prayers to exorcise the spirits, Romanian daily Libertatea reported.
Chelmu added: "After a wall fell on top of ministry advisor Teodor Craciun, I decided enough was enough.
"We tried to work out why we were so unlucky, and realised no priest had stepped foot in this ministry for years - and the last government had not had a particularly close relationship with God.
"While he was here we also asked him to pray for some good crops for us this year as well."
