In a neat demonstration of E=mc2, physicists believe they can create electrons and positrons from colliding photons

For now, the prospect is only for sub-atomic particles, but who knows, with future unlimited sources of energy, what might be possible?

I presume you are aware that this is about pair production from photons, not about 'solid light'.

The production of pairs of positrons and electrons would revolutionise antimatter production, but I would strongly advise against trying to touch either of these products.
