Stockport suicides

In this month's Strange Deaths there's the story of a Taxi driver who commits suicide by tying one end of a rope around his throat and the other around a lamp post. He then gets into his car and floors the the accelerator. I have read this story at least four times in the past year. Always it features a Taxi driver. Always it happens in Stockport. The driver is usually Asian, though. This is the fourth time I have read this story. Is there a very lazy, but sick journalist based in Stockport ?
 
That's odd - on the Marconi thread (somewhere under conspiracy) one of the Marconi deaths uses this very method. I also believe the perpetrator was of Asian descent. It occurred back in the early 80s. Is there a cultural thing going on here or a UL perpetuating itself?
