This forum has been set up specifically to contain threads that whilst purporting to be genuine report of Fortean phenomena, are in fact fictional (this includes viral marketing and so on.) As these are often interesting, entertaining and/or instructive in and of themselves, rather than deleting them they'll be housed here, which also allows us to keep the specialist topic forums "clean" as possible.

So, if you spot an old thread that we've subsequently discovered to be fake, or a current one that's actually a viral ad, PM one of us and we'll have a look.
