In a fairly glossing, Fargo esque documentary on the discovery of eleven bodies unceremoniously murdered and dumped on a 12 mile stretch of coast in Long Island, Channel 4 delivered a fairly bleak portrait of how untermenschlike sex workers are still regarded by modern American judiciary.
One case seems to name a stark suspect, but you may want to watch and decide for yourself. Such was the delay and procrastination by police in the area, you have to wonder. Oh and, not mentioned in the documentary, Montauk is nearby... :
From channel4.com:
"In one of the worst serial killings in American history, over just two years police have discovered 11 bodies dumped on an isolated stretch of coastal road in Long Island, New York, leading to a wealthy gated community. Four of the bodies were of sex workers who advertised online."
